- Chapter 5 release update - 21 September 2026
Hello Alternauts! Storm here with an update.Coding is now complete for chapter 5. At this point we're waiting on the render queue. Should be about a week for images to render, then we'll be sending off the build to beta while the final animations render, that way you aren't waiting longer than you absolutely need to.I can't yet give you an exact date for chapter 5's release, but we aren't far off from that point. In fact, the next post here will almost certainly include release dates!We've got a special render in the works now as well, which we'll be posting as a sneak peek at something major happening in chapter 6 (which we've already started work on). That'll go out after we've released chapter 5 to all tiers, but I think it'll be worth the wait.In the meantime, keep your eye open here for that beta/release date announcement! It's coming very, very soon.
- Translations for Russian, Chinese, and Brazilian Portuguese are live! - 24 June 2026
Hey folks! If you've been waiting for one of the translations listed, we appreciate your patience. As is usual, we have to send off the completed game files to our translators in order to get translations done. It isn't something that's easy to do prior to beta, so there's always going to be a delay. If you're waiting on French, our translator has the files and is currently working on them. We'll post again once the French translation is up. Thanks for being here, and if you've not yet played chapter 4, we hope you enjoy!
- Achievements are now live! - 6 June 2026
If you've been waiting for achievements, we have good news: your wait is over! There are 10 achievements so far, with more to come in the future. If you've already completed chapter 4, all you need to do for any achievements you've earned to pop is to load the last save and advance into the credits. You should see those achievements come up immediately. To avoid spoilers we've made the achievements hidden. But if you want a full list, feel free to join us on Discord. We have them listed in the Heaven's Door spoilers channel.
- Small update, and achievements coming - 4 June 2026
Heya, folks! Just a quick note to let you know what's going on.We're in the midst of testing a new build, including the implementation of the first series of achievements. You may have noticed that there are now 10 achievements associated with the game. Unfortunately, you don't yet have access to unlock them. That'll come with the next build, including a check to see if you would have unlocked any of those achievements already.We're also doing some minor code, dialogue, and visual fixes. We'll announce when those, and the new achievements, go live. Should be very soon, so keep an eye open here!

There were a few hiccups along the way, and not every feature we'd intended will be in this build, but at least one will be added very shortly. - Work on Chapter 3 is nearing completion! - 16 September 2025

We're currently working on the second-to-last major scene of the chapter (though for some of you, it'll be the final major scene, depending on your choices).
