• 1.0.9 - Mouse Cursor Control - 16 January 2025

  As well as being controlled by the gamepad and keyboard, you can now play Easy Japanese Hiragana with your mouse cursor or trackpad. The new cursor functionality is optional, and can be disabled/enabled in the Options menu. Let me know if it's working OK for you!

• 1.0.8 - Kana Dictionary & Background Selection - 29 November 2024

  Easy Japanese Hiragana just got a little better! There's now a kana dictionary we can access from the main menu, in order to see all the kana we've learned on our journey. More kana are added to the dictionary as you unlock more levels! We can now change the background colour to suit our tastes, with seven new styles selectable from the options menu. Finally, some minor visual improvements have been made. If using the color-code, you may notice that the purple color (for 'e-vowel' kana) is now a little brighter. This is to help it stand out when it's shown over darker surfaces like flashcards, and the balloons in the Origami Flyer mini-game. The map of Japan on the main menu has been cleaned up, to eliminate some loose pixels. These changes are live in game build 1.0.8(+). Update now and check them out!
