  • Online Multiplayer Update and Bug Fixes - 3 August 2026

    - Updated to new relay server after end of life for the old one to resume normal online multiplayer functionality. - Fixed an issue where having a Z in the join code would cause problems - Join codes are no longer case sensitive

  • Update 1.0.23 - 8 January 2026

Another update today! One thing I've really wanted to address is the impact of long absences of a specific block. Especially in the survive mode, you end up in scenarios where a combo can only be extended by one thing and then you don't get it for an uncommonly long time which can ruin your run. Now there are limits to how long a block can be absent, for the most part you shouldn't even notice a difference but in specific scenarios this can prevent really unfortunate block droughts! I also fixed some issues that were causing floating blocks and bombs now count as adding to a streak! Please let me know if there are are any issues.

  • Update 1.0.22 - 17 December 2025

Hello Sorcerers! Today I released update 1.0.22 which introduces a cheat menu to Survive mode! Pause the game and click the button at the top left of the screen to instantly clear the board and add time to the timer in increments of 100 seconds. This will allow you to theory craft new setups and test the ratio between the time required to set something up and the time gained by doing so. Any record set using these cheats will not be saved! I'm excited to see what can be done with this!

  • Update 1.0.21 - 12 December 2025

I just pushed a minor update that allows people to save their times even if they haven't created a profile yet. It also includes a quality of life change to single player! Now when you connect your controller it will also automatically choose the profile that you were using the most recently to save steps. I have also finally included Credits, look under settings to see the names of all the wonderful people who contributed to making Sorcery Slam what it is today!

  • Update 1.0.20 - 4 December 2025

Hello all! I've implemented an update to the relay plugin we are using to make lobby hosting and joining easy! The old version was sending every function call as fast and unreliable which created a few issues, but the new version correctly distinguishes between these two types of requests and runs faster! (It can also handle more traffic.) Shoutout to curtjs for his hard work on NodeTunnel! You can check out his youtube here:

  • Update 1.0.16 - 18 November 2025

Changed the way the hourglass and combo timer animations look in survival mode. Also updated the vanish animations so that they shrink to the center instead of to the side. Let me know what you think or if you have ideas on how it could be improved!

  • Single Player Updates and Speedrunning Competition! - 12 November 2025

The Single Player modes have been updated to reflect optimizations discovered during the development of the online multiplayer functionality. Until now, they have been running on the old implementation that was created before the one that multiplayer runs on currently. It should feel mostly the same, but it now benefits from small changes. For example, being able to rapidly slam piece after piece faster now and holding down the rotation buttons to rotate the pieces! Along with this update, I am kicking off a speedrun competition! Whoever hold the world record as of December 17th in any or all of three categories will win a 20$ steam gift card! I have completed a run in each category that will serve as the first time to beat: Sprint mode: Level 1 - 10 Sprint mode: Level 1 - 33 Survive mode: Rules: Runs must be recorded and submitted on discord in order to be considered eligible. Pausing…
