- The World Grows: Avalon’s Summer Dev Update - 7 July 2025
Hello Adventurers,It’s time for another dev update before we all head out for some well-earned summer adventures. The Vikings are dusting off their longships, the Dragon Raiders are soaring off into the skies, and the rest of you — well, there’s always a sturdy horse… or an extremely confused sheep ready to carry you to your favorite holiday spot. 🐑Let’s dive into what the team has been working on over the past two months! We know RPG players love two things: getting lost in mysterious places and leveling up while doing it. So we’ve carved out a few new cave systems - one echoing the Egyptian roots of Templar lore, and another steeped in Inquisitor fire magic. They’ll be hard to find and even harder to survive - so bring a torch, sharpen your blade, and maybe kiss your gear goodbye just in case. Here’s a small sneak peek:Expect riddles and ghosts. Expect fire spiders, lava traps, and the…
- New Horizons Await: "Avalon - Rise of The Templars" Development Update - 9 May 2025
Chaos Fades. Magic Awakens. Templars, Vikings, Inquisitors, and Druids of Avalon… Prepare for Glory! Hello, Avalon adventurers! Updating you on three years of development is no small task, but let’s dive in! We’re rolling out details on features added over the past year and fresh additions landing in recent patches. First up: our world map updates. Avalon isn’t just a gritty medieval realm—it’s a vibrant tapestry of diverse regions, like the lush Druidic Hunting Grounds, teeming with life and color. We’ve prioritized a visually striking world to keep your journeys vivid, though dungeons remain suitably moody for that classic crypt-crawling vibe. Thanks to our technical MMO test group requests, we’ve added a third-person camera with optional far-out zoom to track teammates in raids, plus a first-person view for inspecting artifacts and hidden secrets. The first initial village in genesis…
- Avalon Awakens: First Look at Our Journey to Early Access - 12 March 2025
Welcome to Avalon’s First Development Update! We’ve been on an incredible journey since November 2022, crafting Avalon from its earliest designs into the MMORPG we’ve always dreamed of. The first technical alpha launched in January 2023, and since then, we’ve released nearly 60 versions for testing. And who were our first adventurers? Veteran MMO players, some with over 30 years of experience, alongside 500 hardcore testers and over 1,500 total players who shaped Avalon’s development through Alpha V1, V2, and V3. From the start, we focused on making Avalon not just polished, but truly fun—ensuring every moment, from exploration to raids, feels exciting, rewarding, and immersive. Thanks to our early testers, we’ve refined the core gameplay loop, improved raids, and designed a UI that’s intuitive but still deep. The result? An alpha so engaging that some players stayed in-game for 8-12 ho…
