Hello and welcome to the "version update" update of The Travelers, which features many accumulated smaller bug fixes that couldn't be addressed sooner due to the other fires that needed to be put out. Since this is the first update where many changes have been collected instead of being pushed as quickly as possible, rapid-fire, per-emergency, this update will officially be referred to as version 1.0.1. - One Week Since Release - 28 December 2025
One week ago, I released my first game, The Travelers. Despite a few months of off-and-on testing by about dozen players, the launch was a total disaster. Something was horribly wrong with the netcode and players could not join and play at all. I was in front of my computer for 3 days desperately trying to get everything fixed. Things finally smoothed out, though, and after a good many complaints and a few refunds, people were finally able to dig into the game. I cannot thank you all enough for how much love you've shown. 5-10 players consistently since launch, so much discussion about the lore, so much work put into solving the mechanics of the game's worldwide puzzle.
