- Ashes of Morgravia is out now - 22 June 2026
We are incredibly happy to announce that the full version of Ashes of Morgravia is now available on Steam. It is difficult to describe what this moment means to us. Not so long ago, Morgravia existed only as a tabletop prototype made from printed cards, handwritten rules, and miniatures moved around by hand. We were testing the foundations of the game one encounter at a time, trying to understand whether tactical positioning and deckbuilding could work together in the way we imagined. That small prototype gradually became something much larger. Ashes of Morgravia is now a complete tactical deckbuilding game filled with branching routes, dangerous encounters, enemies, bosses, cards, items, sets, combos, and decisions that can reshape an entire run. The demo showed only a fraction of that journey. The full release opens the rest of the Desolation. The full release in numbers The launch ve…
- Ashes of Morgravia launches on June 22 - 6 June 2026
It still feels strange to write this, but here we are. Ashes of Morgravia launches on June 22. Not a demo update. Not another internal milestone. Not another “we are getting close” post. The full release is coming. Not so long ago, this game was just an idea on a table. Printed cards, rough rules, unfinished encounters, and a handful of miniatures standing in for monsters while we tried to figure out if the core idea actually worked. Some of those miniatures were Warhammer models. Some of them were very sneaky Skavens. Morgravia was not supposed to have ratmen, but they served the prototype well. From paper cards to full release Ashes of Morgravia started small. We tested fights manually. We moved pieces by hand. We changed cards after every session. We broke the rules, rewrote them, broke them again, and slowly found the shape of the game we wanted to make. A tactical deckbuilder where…
- Version 0.5.8 - 4 May 2026
This update is not a giant “new mechanic” patch. It is the patch where the demo becomes much easier for us to fix, translate, test, and improve without guessing. Before 0.5.8, if something broke, we often needed a message like: “I clicked something after a fight and the game got weird.” Then we had to hunt for it.Now the demo can send us a screenshot, logs, and player notes directly through the bug report system. Before 0.5.8, a lot of text still lived in random prefabs, configs, scenes, and code. That is fine until you want the game to exist in more than one language. Now the localization pipeline is actually in the game, with English and Polish available from the settings menu. Before 0.5.8, some UI screens worked, but felt stiff or unfinished. Card gains, card removal, quest rewards, tooltips, battle log entries, Desolation summaries, and boss skill descriptions all had places where the g…

- Demo 0.5.5 - 19 March 2026
Ashes of Morgravia Demo 0.5.5 - Release notesThis update makes the demo feel dramatically different from the previous version. The biggest change is that the entire intro section has been rebuilt. That means new storyboards, new dialogues, new scenes, new enemy setups, and a new boss. If you've played the demo before, the opening now delivers a substantially different experience, both in presentation and in flow.On top of that, we improved combat readability, reworked parts of the tutorial, added more audio and visual polish, introduced a new Sanctum, and expanded the demo structure with Desolation 0 (Patrol).A lot of this patch is about first impressions - making Ashes of Morgravia communicate itself better, feel stronger to play, and pull players into its world much faster.A completely new intro experienceThis is not just a tweak to the opening. The intro section has been heavily expan…
- 0.5.2 Hotfix - 11 December 2025
Small update, mostly fixes and quality-of-life for all the new systems we just pushed.Equipped Items FilterAdded the equipped items section that also adds an item type filter. You can now quickly narrow down what you're looking at when managing your gear and sets.Boon IconsFixed several missing boon icons so all active boons now display correctly and are easier to read at a glance.Well's Influence TextUpdated the Well's Influence actions' descriptions to better explain what it does and when it triggers, so the "lair action" of the Well is clearer in-game, not just in patch notes. Combos BugfixFixed Combos malfunctioning:Missing Combo icons now show up properlyThe combo state won't be preserved between fights as intendedIf anything still feels off with Well's Influence, Combos, or item UI, let us know - this hotfix is a first pass, not the last word.
- Update 0.5.1 - 7 December 2025
This update leans into what Ashes of Morgravia is supposed to be: dangerous, tactical, and full of long-term consequences. Fights now have a ticking clock, builds have more identity, early Desolation runs are less linear, and enemies have a new way to pin you down. Let's get into it. TO SUM IT UPIn this 0.5.1 demo update:The Well now acts each turn through a Well's Influence die.Combos reward playing specific keywords in sequence.Weave powers up cards when you alternate between your two decksItem rarity and upgrades (up to +3) give cleaner, more satisfying progression.Item sets add build-defining bonuses and set-specific boons. Now, boons and items expand your build options.Desolation I now has branching paths, more varied nodes, and a guaranteed rest before the final fight.Zombies and skeletons can stagger you, doubling movement cost. The turn carousel was rebuilt to show where the Well'…
- Update 0.4.6 - 1 November 2025
This update changes how fights work, how maps read, and how the game looks in moment-to-moment play. It also adds some quality-of-life changes in the Sanctum and UI, and we want to be very direct about how we build things. Let’s get to it.COVER, LINE OF SIGHT, POSITIONING Combat is more tactical now. Positioning actually matters.True Line of Sight Certain walls now fully block vision. If you’re behind one of these, enemies literally can’t target you. You can break aggro and force them to move.Partial Cover Some objects don’t block sight, but they do protect you. If you stand directly behind them, incoming damage can be reduced by 50%. This is a core step toward “tactical deckbuilder,” not “stat check brawler.”NEW MAPS BUILT FOR THAT SYSTEM We’ve added new combat maps designed around Line of Sight and cover.More tight corners and firing lanes.More hard blockers (you can’t shoot through t…
- Update 0.4.4 - 25 August 2025
With update 0.4.4, we set ourselves a challenge: take your feedback, push further, and try something bold. This patch introduces some of the biggest shifts to Ashes of Morgravia so far - from deckbuilding to item progression - reshaping how every run feels.🃏 Deck Editor - Build Before You BeginWe heard you out regarding your feedback. Now, you can edit your deck before each run. This is a major shift in how you approach the game: craft your deck to complement your gear and tailor strategies to your playstyle. Personally, it’s hard to imagine going back - it just feels right.📜 Unlockable Cards with QuestsA powerful deck should be earned. Cards in the editor now unlock through quests, giving you new goals to chase and ensuring your hands will be full for the foreseeable future.🌀 Ethereal CardsTo complement the deck editor, all cards gained during the Desolation are now Ethereal — they…
- Update 0.4.0 - 29 June 2025
We’re excited to share a major update to the Ashes of Morgravia demo, and it’s a big one. Your feedback has helped us shape this version into a more cohesive and satisfying experience. We look forward to hearing your thoughts.Phase Fusion - One Flow, Two DecksThe most impactful change: we’ve fused the Stride and Clash phases into one continuous flow. Don’t worry - the two-deck system remains. But now, you can customize the ratio of Stride to Clash cards drawn each turn, giving you more control while maintaining the tactical depth. This change massively improves pacing and onboarding without sacrificing strategy.Real-Time Card CalculationsAll cards now display their real-time calculated values in your hand, factoring in all active buffs and debuffs. No more guesswork - you’ll know exactly how hard you’re hitting (or blocking) as you plan your next move. This improves the clarity and rhyt…
- Demo Quickfix #1 - 10 June 2025
⚔️ Quickfix Update - Desolation Length Selection + More! We’re only a short while into the demo launch, but we already wanted to push an update that introduces a feature we’ve had in mind for a while - and we think it fits the game perfectly.🗺️ Choose Your Desolation LengthYou can now select the length of the Desolation before descending.Longer paths mean greater danger - but also greater rewards. This system is tied to progression: You'll need to complete earlier maps and level up your Godwoken to unlock deeper, more punishing routes through the Desolation. We believe this shift strengthens the game’s core loop and gives more meaning to returning to the Sanctum - upgrading your gear, preparing your deck, and making each descent count.🔊 Other ImprovementsAdjusted and expanded sound effects across the boardMinor tweaks and balancing updatesStability improvements and polishThanks again fo…
