• Update Rollout and Open Beta Invitation - 15 March 2024

  Finally our patch is ready. 🕺💃 That pesky launch crash really was something! 😵 A tough nut to crack, but thanks to some incredible support, we believe the crashes are gone for good! Now extending an invitation to anyone affected by crashes to join our Open Beta and confirm the effectiveness of this patch. Ah - we've fixed controller compatibility issues too, so feedback here is also welcome! To join in Open Beta: 1) Navigate to your Steam Library. 2) Right-click on Typoman and select 'Properties.' 3) Go to the 'Betas' tab. 4) Enter the code “VSVGSB0HBWIW” in the 'Private Betas' field and click “Check Code.” 5) The library title will update to “Typoman ” and begin downloading the patch. 6) Enjoy and kindly forward any bug reports to [email protected] We appreciate your help & patience!   Hey Fam! We're back at Typoman after a long pause! First - We'd like to deal with the most pressing issue: A vicious launch crash that some of you encountered with newer Windows versions. After that - You can expect us adding a few nice things now that we took the time to clean up our ancient source code. And better Steam Deck support. ːsteamhappyː We need Beta Testers! Specifically people who encountered this vicious launch-crash-bug. To be honest we have never been able to reproduce it ourselves. We tested on various PCs with different Windows versions and configurations, and it never crashed! In a quick beta test session we were able to locate and remove critical bugs and crashes, so the game will hopefully run very smoothly on most Linux configurations. Anyways - we haven't been able to catch all bugs you reported, but the list has grown a lot smaller and most of those big issues like freezes & crashes have been resolved. So we're going to release tomorrow as planned! This concludes our beta phase. Everyone who has provided us with feedback will soon receive a private message along with a little thank you gift attached!   Dear folks - thanks to your much appreciated feedback we can hardly find any more bugs. - In case you haven't noticed - our last update added Mini Games which will hopefully give you hours of additional Typoman fun, just play through the main game to unlock them - Halloween is over - no more pumpkins and bats - Main dictionary & antonym dictionary dramatically improved - Xbox 360 / One Controller support / fix (Mac OS X) - HUD / Menu translation added in German, French, Russian, Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese - improved performance on weaker systems, now auto-setting to low quality when weak system is detected - many other fixes, most notably: - critical "stuck-in-falling-pose" fixed - critical "unable-to-pull-lever-or-letters" bug fixed Give us a shout if you think we missed something.
