• Querent Demo Released! - 26 June 2026

  It's been a long journey iterating on the game design. I wanted to bring something I could be proud of and here it is! The game is still being developed so I would love feedback!

• New Cover Art and Querent at Q Con - 26 April 2025

  I'm pleased to announce some new cover art for Querent by Red Potion Studios! They did a great job focusing on the core of the game which was always about rescuing cute animals from dark ancient technological monsters. In addition, my husband and I will be at Q Con for the 2nd year to promote and sell Sippy Crumbs Coffee as well as Querent with Turn Da Page! If your in the Los Angeles area, come visit us! In other news, I'm consistently updating the itch beta demo with improvements and have recently got it working well on mobile devices. Try it out and let me know what you think!

• What are the Suits in Querent? - 22 March 2025

  If you’ve seen any screenshots or previews of Querent, you may have wondered, “What are the card suits about and why are there 6?” Well, don’t worry your pretty little head about that partner! I’m hear to answer those questions. What is the purpose of the suits?If your at all familiar with other tabletop RPGs, you know there are several skills that are used to build each character like Intelligence, Constitution, and Charisma. In Querent, each suit in your deck is totaled up to generate your skill value. For instance, if the total amount of diamonds in your deck is 10, you have 10 in Spry. With this, you can move 10 squares in a turn. Each card in a suit also doubles as an action. When you equip one of these cards in your hand you can use the action and the more cards you draw on your turn, the better chance you have of success in that action. So what are the suit skills?   I'm excited to announce that Querent will be making an appearance at the Tempe Fan Con tomorrow at 1/25/25! The event is held at the Tempe Public Library from 10 am to 3 pm.   Querent is a game three years in the making. It began as a straightforward experiment to create a non-violent video game focused on rescuing small animals. Set in a reimagined American Southwest, the game incorporates principles from Internal Family Systems. While the core vision has stayed true, the project has evolved into something far greater. Over time, I’ve refined the plot, characters, and gameplay into a unified vision, offering a distinctive gaming experience. My aim is for each player of Querent to discover what they seek and gain a deeper insight into themselves and the world. Join the excitement as the game evolves and expands!
