v0.2.5 is a major update to driving physics, Force Feedback, hardware support, and overall setup quality. A lot of the work in this release is focused on making Clutch feel better behind the wheel while also making it easier to get into the car and drive. Clutch: The Simulation — New Build Update This update is a pretty big foundation pass for *Clutch: The Simulation*. A lot of the work is behind the scenes, but it should make the game feel cleaner, more stable, and easier to set up. Big Changes New Launcher The game now starts through a new launcher, giving Clutch a cleaner entry point and making future updates/settings easier to manage. Updated to Unity 6.3 The project has been moved to Unity 6.3, bringing the game onto a newer engine base for future development. Reworked Force Feedback The FFB system has been rebuilt to be more resilient and consistent across different hardware setups. There will still be tuning work, but the foundation is much stronger now. Despite the year break, we have not stopped development.Some of the things that are almost complete: Multiplayer first rewriteBetter FFB binding/supportNew launcher that isn't Unity basedControl binding wizard to get you to the game quickerV1 Scoring system (proximity multipliers, angle points, and more)General polish and stability fixesThe complete back end (multiplayer foundation) code was the brunt of the work and a lot of study. But we're moving towards something soon to be ready for a stable public build.The goal hasn't changed, A serious sim/game built with modding and realism above all else while trying to capture the fun of real life drifting.Will post more as things get closer!
