  It's now been one year since A Directionless Cycle's release! It's been quite the hectic year, but I've managed to pull through for now. I've been hard at work with my other projects, with some seeing more progress than others. I can't wait to share what I've been cooking up with you all! The game has never been in a better state, and I'm happy to let it stay this way for a while. One of the few "major" changes that are planned currently are only rebinding, and some "extra" content, but work is nowhere close to being started. Unfortunately, there's no big event or update to A Directionless Cycle, but at least I hope you enjoy some more QoL fixes and the... Anniversary Sale!!! • A Directionless Cycle v1.1 - 30 January 2026

  It's been almost a year since A Directionless Cycle was released! Enjoy this big update that revises old dialog, translates the game, and reworks multiple areas of the game (visually) for fidelity! Major Changes Endgame/Fullgame spoilers ahead! Added Spanish translation! This translates UI, dialog, hints, etc. Does not apply for level names. Revised dialog for the FULL GAME. New dialog, longer texts, extra story. Ending level now has a visual addition when taking the final exit (area no longer disappears) Added two more (Darker) songs into the game, these play whenever you get your cycle ability. New, and improved settings menu! Now with custom-made checkboxes, dropdowns, sliders... As said above, this also applies to the in-game settings! Fully reworked W3-7.2, and added its hint level. • Small Patches / UI QoL Update (v1.05) - 23 September 2025

  Bugfixes and changes Endgame/Fullgame spoilers ahead! You can now toggle the scanline animation that plays during gameplay to be a static image instead of animating. Outerbound exits are now shown in the hub regardless if you completed the level or not, and have the "Missing Hightlighter" setting toggled on. On the extra levels scene, "Despair" now shows as completed when you complete it. While in the ending sequence, you can no longer cycle. (Unsure what caused this) I've also moved quite a lot of files around! The game should work sliiightly faster, but you shouldn't notice any difference. Thank you for all the feedback! • Steam Cloud + Bugfixing (v1.04) - 4 August 2025

  Cloud saving has been added to the game! Please BACK UP your save-file just in case, you can do so by copying the file located in: %USERPROFILE%/AppData/LocalLow/Half Sun Games/A Directionless Cycle. (Windows) For steam Deck users, it should work fine? I'm unsure if it'll collide with any PC saves, but make sure to back up in case. Thank you! Also... Added a backup system! It should (hopefully) back up periodically into a backup folder, found next to the custom levels folder. This was added in case you'd like to revert your save-file, or somehow lost a recent save.   Endgame spoilers! You've been warned: "Fixed" a missing screen in Shadow Step's level. Removed OOB area in Gummi's level. Removed OOB area in Artifact 2's level. Removed OOB area in Pong's level. Edited out Artifact 2 wrong screen connections. Changed carvings sprite to fix a translation error.

• Miscellaneous fixes (v1.0 ~> v1.031) - 3 July 2025

  Here's a list of all the patches that have been pushed out since release, in chronological order. Spoilers! I can't classify them, so be careful yourself and don't click if you haven't beaten the game: W1-??? had a second "Path of light" (which did nothing). Achievement "Encoded" now triggers with its specific codes. Selecting up from W1-5 now selects W1-5.1 instead of W1-5.2 as a default. Added a settings button to the pause menu: Ability to tweak SFX values. Ability to tweak BGM values. Added hint text to "W3-7.1", I'll tweak that level in the future.
