• Demo Fixes & Adjustments - 21 March 2026

  Hello!!We are pushing a small update to address some technical, legibility and quality of life issues that players have raised since last month's major gameplay update to the demo. • Major Demo Gameplay Update - 25 February 2026

  Hello! I have a lot of things to tell you today. But don't worry, it's good news.The biggest thing is: we released a major gameplay update to the demo and we're really proud of it! It focuses mainly on adding more depth and variety to how you can play Herringen and optimise your runs to improve your score. And more generally, making sure everything incentivises player dynamics that are in alignment with our intentions. The main changes are a complete rework of the nearwall mechanic and numerous adjustments to enemy placement and behaviour. The goal for us was to add more depth and variety to Herringen's gameplay while further incentivising players to take risky trajectories and limiting boring downtimes. Also, so far, the ways to get the highest scores were pretty cheesy and repetitive. We wanted to make it more interesting.In short, the nearwall has much more impact on gameplay values…

• Demo Release Date - 4 December 2025

  >Hello! We are happy to announce that we are releasing a demo for Herringen on January 7th!!!This demo will feature one level (which will be level 2 in the finished game) and one playable ship, complete with an online leaderboard where you can show off your mastery. We hope you will enjoy discovering our game, and that it will leave you longing for more. Because we intend to make more, in fact, we've already begun blocking out another level, stay tuned.. And that is not all, we are also opening our Discord server. Feel free to come by for a chat while we finish making the demo as polished as possible. On that server you will also be able to get some sneak peeks at what we are working on. And if we are in need of new playtesters, we might ask for your help.
