Foglit is an action roguelike, with RPG-inspired elements. You explore the cursed and ever-changing, ruined lands of Cirilis ... all that assuming that you can fight or run your way through. Checkpoints are only at the start of chapters and before chapter boss fights. Fight, die, learn, repeat. In Foglit you assume the role of a journeyman mage embarking on a journey to complete the work of their fallen mentor to cleanse the land by fulfilling an ancient pact with the guardian of this land. As a measure of protection, you use chronomancy to scout ahead by creating a new body that projects your power. While your body may be safe, you still feel anything your projection does, and whenever the projection is destroyed, you will need to cast the ritual again to make a new projection. Experience magic runes a comprehensive system of upgrades and unlockable recipes. During each run, you get to choose 1 rune at every level up and you also choose if you want to store that rune or use it in that run. After each run, you get access to every rune you save. You can combine the stored runes and obtain more powerful runes that will be unlocked during any run thereafter. The full rune system contains over 450 recipes split across 3 tiers Fundamental , Elemental , and Cosmic . Your choices will have consequences, impacting the story and leading to multiple endings. Will you confront every boss in your path, or find a way to circumvent them? Renew the covenant. Break the cycle!
