  Hey all, it took a little while but I have finished the achievements system for Mining Company! There are 25 achievements. There are exploration achievements that encourage you to go deep in to parts of the mines with hand-crafted back pathways you may not have seen before. The description on each achievement gives a hint about which way to go from the mine entrance. There are achievements for a lot of the higher-tier upgrades like the extra fuel tank, which is required to reach the boom markets. The boom market pays much higher prices when you sell all your mined minerals, so it's a high-tier way for your earnings to go exponential and make it past the later spaceship payments.There are achievements for mining each asteroid, and one for killing 10 spiders. • Mining Company v1.1 - Huge update after community feedback - 16 May 2025

  We've listened to your feedback from every review, article, and streamer video for Mining Company and made big changes to fix the things everyone has brought up. Thank you for all the ideas and actionable criticism! This update contains dozens of major changes in response to all this feedback. It fixes some very serious bugs with the microphone settings, and adds some new features like mineable amber blocks that contain spiders, and much improved hitboxes and aim. Also a much better-looking UI, asteroids that are now decorated with atmospheric abandoned industrial equipment, and more. VOICE CHAT Selecting a different microphone now works properly.   The release trailer is now live. Also this update includes more improvements and fixes due to feedback from pre-launch plays by streamers! UI menu improvements - menu buttons get bigger when hovered over - fonts are more consistently used for specific functions - appearance was made more uniform across menu screens - invite friend menu is easier to close - esc button functionality was improved to back out of each menu level with each press, instead of just hiding the whole menu on the current menu page - esc button functionality was added to starting main menu, with new "quit? y/n" dialog box that can be activated with the 'enter' key in addition to clicked on by the mouse The following bugs were fixed: Save file load functionality after deleting savefile - savegame 1 would sometimes erroneously load after deleting savegames 2 or 3 and then trying to load them. • Many small bugfixes after first streamer plays - 25 April 2025

  The first streamers got access to Mining Company today and we've listened to their feedback on their streams and fixed the following bugs: - Sometimes the game would not reset properly after the mortgage was not paid on time if one player had left the game at some point - Redeemer asteroid was re-arranged to be more intuitive to find the dungeon door, adjusting electric pole lines and spider spawn positions - Buying one torch now has proper grammar on delivery screen - Turned the lighting down in the cabin to be more atmospheric - Added fade-out camera vignettes to spawning - Made game over screen last longer to make it more clear the game has started over Mining Company is looking forward to more streamers having their first look at the game in the coming days!

• Added many new enemies, reworked fog system, added walkie-talkies... - 14 April 2025

  Over the last couple months, so many things have been added to the game! Mining Company now has combat with spiders, giant sandworms that crawl through the dungeons, and all sorts of different wildilfe running around. There's also new destruction physics and animations when a block is mined, it breaks in to pieces and leaves a cloud behind. It looks great! Basically minecraft with RTX on, but it actually runs easily even on a potato computer. The spaceship has a great new look with all new models and textures, and a warning light to help remind you to pay the spaceship loan on time! (or else!) The game has a new logo and new GIFs that show off a lot of the new features. Mining Company comes out on April 29!

• A behind-the-scenes look at Mining Company! - 14 February 2025

  Hey everyone, I'm the sole developer of Mining Company and we're coming up on the release here in about a month or so. I've been working literally night and day to create this fun multiplayer game for you all to enjoy, and I couldn't be more exited! The idea is it's Lethal Company meets Minecraft and it's coming together better than even I expected. The mechanics and webcode are quite polished at this point, I spent about a month just polishing them alone. So from a gameplay experience it's super smooth on the level of Phasmophobia and Lethal Company. Just like those games, I've built in a client-authoritative movement system which greatly reduces lag because moving doesn't require the server's permission. And anyone can easily host their own game with 1-4 players, there is no central hosting service that the game depends on. And you can use the in-game interface to browse public server…
