- Updated with performance fixes! - 17 March 2018
Irrational Exuberance: Prologue has just been updated, at long last. Performance should be much better and hitting rocks should no longer constantly drop to the compositor. Please kick the tires and let me know how it works for you by commenting here or using the feedback form on the desktop window, which will send your system specs. Thank you in advance! There are a few other goodies. There is now code to help compensate for playing in smaller rooms, which was particularly a problem in the opening scene. We've also improved a few sound effects and given you a bit more time in each world, and a few other bits and bobs. Please try it out and let me know what you think. One last note: thank you for being here. I've been away for some time working on various things, related to the future of Irrational and otherwise. I'll be monitoring the forums regularly, fixing bugs, and posting updates…

- One year after Prologue - 13 April 2017
Hello World! Last week marked the one-year anniversary of a pivotal moment in my life. The HTC Vive was released and I released Irrational Exuberance: Prologue-- the first significant project under my direction. Much of Irrational Exuberance was built myself, but it wouldn’t have been possible without my friends and colleagues, especially towards launch. It's a kind of insanity to launch anything that seeks to do something new. Solo and small teams especially need support to pull it off. I want to give my deepest thanks to everyone who has supported me and this project. Launch was the culmination of many years, beginning with the Oculus Rift DK1 in 2013. I built a self-funded 15-minute prototype of Irrational Exuberance over 6 months, where I discovered how cool space, darkness, and thoughtful atmosphere are in VR. I scrapped almost all of the moment-to-moment design after I saw the pro…
