Coming in 2026: A new lo-fi first-person first-person narrative game from Fullbright. Announced today at the PC Gaming Show Most Wanted Showcase! You've probably heard by now that the Epic Games Store has gotten into the habit of giving away free games every week or so, and with the occasional hiccup here and there, this has been going on for about a year and a half now. Starting today, you can get the excellent Torchlight II free of charge, which means we now get a peek at the games that will be on offer next week: Tacoma and Next Up Hero . Tacoma is a forensic sci-fi adventure from Fullbright, the studio that made Gone Home. In Tacoma, you explore a empty space station, searching for clues about what happened to its missing crew. Over the course of the adventure, you'll learn about their private conversations and communiques, their inner lives, and what wound up on happening that led to the station being abandoned. It's not a long game, but it's beautifully realised and quickly draws you into the lives of its ghostly characters…

- Big patch, small update! - 19 December 2019
Hi there! If you already own Tacoma, you may notice a large patch from Steam today. But, despite the patch size, it should keep everything pretty much exactly as it was: we've updated the game to be compliant with MacOS Catalina's new security requirements, which required upgrading the game to a new version of Unity-- which means practically every file got touched in the process, causing a large patch size on Steam. But, everything should work the same, just maybe running a little smoother, with a few bugs fixed that we found along the way, and better compatibility for Xbox and DualShock controllers. The sci-fi mystery adventure Tacoma is really good stuff. It's from Fullbright, the developer of Gone Home, and that pedigree shines through: "While a lot of sci-fi from that era has a cold, nihilistic view of mankind’s place in the universe, Tacoma has a heart," Andy K. wrote in his 84/100 review . "As a game about piecing together a story, it’s immensely rewarding."  If that sort of critical applause doesn't convince you to try it, maybe this will: It's free right now on the Humble Store. Tacoma is a game about a world that never stops watching. Corporations have achieved vertical integration on a near-total level, functioning as distinct economies running on contract workers and loyalty points. You go to the Amazon school, you work at your Amazon job, you get paid in Amazon points. The characters of the game are so consumed by the anxiety of keeping up with this treadmill that they don t have the time to think about what actions they could collectively take to improve their material conditions, let alone act on them.
