Let's say im in a good spot, but no release date yet, the 2026 window remains from my last devlog. Basically i need to finish the graphical details and then patch up any bugs i find during testing, but the main structure of the game is done.Ill leave you again with screenshots of some of the finished areas:

Hello people, the development of Surface continues even though i missed October's Steam Fest event after reconsideration (the game was not close enough to cempletion, so i will be partecipating to February's Steam Fest instead)I moved the release date to 2026, i hope to release the game by June 2026.That said i just wanted to let you know im not deceased in front of my monitor and sooner or later i will release this game ːsteammockingːSee you in February!

Hello everyone! I've been focusing hard on developing the game since i released the demo and, as you might have noticed, i ended up neglecting communication, so i wanted to give you a few updates on where the game is going and what the expect! Free roaming: So the first major change i want to announce is the switch from a linear map design to an open "free roaming" map you can explore, so from the start of the game you can pick a direction instead of being forced down a single path. You will still need to explore all main locations in order to complete the game, but you will be able to choose how you do so. Puzzles?: I'm experimenting with simple puzzles to help with pacing and adding more meaning to exploration.
