- BioMenace Remastered coming to Nintendo Switch™ - 8 September 2026
BioMenace Remastered is coming to Nintendo Switch™ on October 8, 2026! This new version includes all the content (episodes 1 to 4) of the PC version, and user levels created on PC will also be available for Switch players to enjoy. It has online leaderboards too. The game runs on Switch and Switch 2. This is a digital only release, self-published by us (Rigel Gameworks). We did all the porting work ourselves, which was a very interesting and rewarding experience - we definitely learned a lot.We think BioMenace Remastered is a great fit for the console, it plays and looks fantastic and works very well for playing on the go too.

User-level browser fixes & improvementsBrowser now shows stats for already completed user levels: Highest score, best time, highest difficulty, and completion (gems, score items, secrets). Note that score, time, and difficulty have already been tracked and will now appear for levels that were completed in earlier versions of the game, but completion stats require replaying a level in order to show up.Level lists use paging now, showing 20 entries at a time. You can use the Page Down/Page Up keys or the LB/RB buttons on a controller to navigate between pages.It's now possible to block level creators (which will hide all their levels) or hide individual levels. - Hotfix patch v1.2.1 - 17 July 2026
This patch fixes a bug introduced into the level editor in v1.2.0. After placing a respawn beacon actor into a map, the editor would refuse to open said map and show an error message "Failed to load ". This is now fixed, and any affected maps can be opened again without any data loss.We're really sorry about any inconvenience caused by this issue! This update adds new gameplay modes for players looking for an additional challenge: Limited lives mode, and an option to disable ammo & grenades carrying over into the next level. Limited lives mode also comes with its own dedicated leaderboards, and mid-level saves are disabled in this mode. We've been working on integrating mod.io support for user levels over the past weeks, and are happy to announce that we're now ready to release this new feature as a public beta! The beta will run for about a week and a bit, and then the feature will be released for the regular stable version in a big update.What's mod.io?Mod.io offers very similar functionality to Steam Workshop, but also works for GOG users and in case we'll port the game to consoles later on it'll also be supported there.
