• First public Playtest is Over - 12 June 2026

  Well, the first playtest lasted two weeks and, in my opinion, went extremely well. I’d like to share some data from it: 6,430 people played the game, with an average playtime of 1 hour 38 minutes, and roughly 347 players per day. I think those are really strong numbers for a first run!During the playtest, I released nine fix updates, added a bunch of languages, and with the help of the community found a ton of bugs. By the way, if you’re interested in the game, found a bug, or have good ideas then join our Discord server. I try to reply to every message there, and it’s the fastest way to reach me. • Gambit Playtest is open now! - 29 May 2026

  Hey everyone, it's time to play! Why a playtest and not a demo? I missed that step early on. After a few consultations and some feedback, I decided to run a few playtest rounds first, polish Gambit to 110%, and then release a proper demo ahead of full release.The game is still in alpha/beta. There's a lot of work ahead, but you can already try the core features and get a feel for how it plays.I've opened the playtest to everyone, so it's not much different from an open demo. You can also invite up to 2 friends through Steam, which feels a bit odd, since the playtest is open to everyone anyway.Jump in, break things, and let me know what you think! The playtest has actually been live for two days already — I even managed to ship a big bug-fix patch in that time. I'm not sure how people found out I'd opened it, but players showed up anyway. Now I finally have a moment to announce it proper…
