  Hey everyone, After a long run in Early Access, I’m excited to announce that Bearzerk is officially launching out of that phase. A final small patch is on the way to squash a few bugs and polish up what we’ve done so far, and then that’s it: Bearzerk hits its “full launch” milestone. I want to take a moment to say thank you. If you backed, played, tested, shared feedback, or just hung around, it all meant a lot. I’m really proud of what Bearzerk became: the world, the atmosphere, the art, the ideas. It’s been a journey. That said, I also have to be honest. Interest didn’t grow in the way I’d hoped. Sales weren’t massive. The scope I initially envisioned, grand and ambitious, isn’t something that seems sustainable for the return.   Player stats now shown in the between-round item menu Selecting an item/weapon shows how it affects your stats Most requested feature so far—now live! Under the hood: a ghost test-bear simulates the stat changes for preview Hey everyone! Still plugging away here—it's been 11 days since launch, one hitbox-fixin’ patch later, and now I’ve got something new for all you min-maxing chaos enthusiasts: The between-round item menu now shows your player stats—so you can finally answer life’s most important question: “Wait… what even is my crit chance right now?” Even better, when you select an item or weapon, the game now previews how it’ll affect your stats before you buy it. • Patch Notes – July 25: “Whiff This” Edition - 24 July 2025

  Hitboxes tightened for both mobs and players Collisions should now feel more fair and intuitive New audio cue when taking damage Hey everyone! Quick update today focused on something many of you pointed out (and I very much agreed with): Hitboxes were chonky. Like, "why did I take damage from that dude’s toenail grazing my scalp" kind of chonky. This patch tightens up hitboxes across the board—player and mobs alike—so collisions should now feel a lot more fair and readable. Specifically, I’ve adjusted the collision shapes to better match the visible sprite bounds, especially vertically. In 2D games like Bearzerk, everything collides in screen space, not depth. So when the bottom of an enemy overlaps the top of your head, it’s technically a “hit,” even if it visually feels like you were on different planes. That’s what was happening before. It felt off.   Hey there, chaos connoisseurs!Pinch me (but not too hard, I’m delicate): Bearzerk is now LIVE on Steam Early Access! The caffeine-fueled, plush-shredding dream is finally real, and you can jump in right now to join the fuzzy mayhem. The Road AheadEarly Access is only the first paw print on our honey-sticky journey.   Hey Bearzerkers! Quick update on the demo—here's what's improved: Better Weapon Balance: Weapon rarity and duplicate limits adjusted for fairer demo gameplay. Clearer Buy Menu: Updated interface provides better clarity when selecting new weapons for purchase. Accurate Weapon Tracking: Weapon instances now tracked directly, the shop is now accurately tracking and considering current weapons equippied when math'ing about prices for your new weapon purchases. • Bearzerk Demo Now Available on Steam! - 18 May 2025

  I'm thrilled to announce that the Bearzerk demo is officially available for download on Steam! In this demo, players will have the opportunity to unlock 4 of the game's 15 unique bears, experiment with 8 of 20 available weapons, and explore a variety of exciting items through 10 action-packed rounds before confronting the very first boss.
