Latest Steam announcements

  • fixed: ship collisions -> incidents - 17 August 2026

ship collisions now produce incidents. The physics/effects aren't the greatest but it's an immediate unblocker! fingers crossed I can get around to better effects.

  • Update: Ships actually have sounds and thruster effects - 18 April 2025

Ships - New movement system: Ships move using physics resulting in an overall smoother and more fluid result. Ships have thruster VFX: a light gas for the RCS thrusters, as well as a bright red flame for the main thrusters. - Ships now have thruster sounds: unique (albeit similar) sounds for RCS and main thrusters. Consider the current SFX/VFX as a first pass at just having it functional. It could go through more polish passes in the future, but I wanted to get something in all of your hands ASAP. Fix - fixed bug where overlay labels for gates, ships, and berths might dissapear if you unfocus the game when looking near 180 degrees away from them Restart steam or verify integrity of game files to force steam to update

  • Update: Berth Panels & Balance Tweaks - 16 April 2025

Berths * Berths have their own panels. User can pause and abort transfers from them. * Prevent an incident due to a failed transfer by pausing a berth's transfer ability while waiting for another ship to complete it's transfer. Balance: ship spawning Tweaked destination spawn parameters: * Martian North Pole Waypoint: Profit margins are slim due to ships having to paying more gate fees to enter into your sector * Phobos: Consumers buy in less quantities due to it mostly being a supply hub * Earth/Phobos: Suppliers sell equal amounts. Profit margins same amount. * Earth: Consumers buy the most amounts. Arrival time takes the longest Restart steam or verify integrity of game files to force steam to update

  • Update: Camera, Tutorial - 14 April 2025

Camera - Hover your mouse over a gate or berth and press 'V' to switch to that camera group. Press 'V' again to go back to the global camera group (two different cameras that can see everything) - Press 'tab' to switch between cameras in the same group. - Camera rotations and zoom levels are preserved upon switching back to it Tutorial - Added steps to teach the new camera system - Added steps to teach how to assign a gate's destination - Tutorial text is a panel that can be moved. Destinations - Destinations can only be linked to one gate at a time Fix - Sometimes a gate's overlay would dissapear. I THINK this is fixed. Please let me know if a gate's name dissapears for you,

  • Update: Sector Gates, Destinations - 14 April 2025

Destinations - Destinations include Earth, Phobos, and Martian North Pole Waypoint. - Ship arrival time depends on the distance the destination is from the player. Earth is further than Phobos and the Waypoint, so ships will take a longer time to arrive. - Ship types are dependent on destinations. Phobos will spawn 75% supply ships, 25% consumer ships. Earth is swapped. Waypoint is 50/50. More destinations TBA. - The bulk of the introduction of "Destinations" is an under-the-hood implementation that will surface more in a few feature sprints from now. Basically, a "destination" (i.e. Phobos, Earth) is now an actual entity. They will soon have their own detail panels, characteristics, points of interest (i.e. a research laboratory that you can develop a relationship with, call the facility manager up and see if they need certain kinds of resources, etc.). This will be the inception of th…

  • Update: New incidents & Game Over - 9 April 2025

    ## Incidents - Making a ship go to a gate other than the one the pilot requested will result in an incident - Not having enough credits mid-transfer will result in an incident - Incident history panel redesigned - 3 incidents result in game over ## Game Over - redesigned - shows reason for loss - Shows stats, including: ---- ships serviced ---- total credits earned ---- total resources earned ---- all incidents accrued ## Crash Fix - Fixed: Ships colliding at the berth would result in a crash.

  • Update: Chat notifications, volume sliders, 1000 minute station - 9 April 2025

Firstly, congrats to Station VK-TS-26, operated by VinceKun, for having a station orbiting for longer than 1000 minutes. Unbelievable. Secondly, we have a new #2 on the leaderboard: Station Galeros X1 operated by Lady Vader. She keeps the Phobos->Earth line flowing smoothly. Updates Audio: - Separate volume sliders for SFX, music, and UI - Switching camera views plays a sound Chat: - Chat panel has a message at the top that tells the user their messages may be seen by other players - Comms button will blink when new messages arrive - Chat panel has a checkbox to enable/disable button blinking - Chat panel doesn't scroll to top on new messages, but sometimes it fails to scroll all the way to the bottom on multi-line messages Thank you all so much for playing and giving this game a shot. It means a lot to me. I am incredibly excited to start implementing new features that adds some depth…

  • UI Crash fixes - 7 April 2025

I think I partially solved an issue where UI sounds would crash the game. Seems to happen a lot less.

  • Released :') - 7 April 2025

Hi all, thank you for being here during this - it means so much to me. I'm now going to take a nap.

  • Patch: UI - 2 April 2025

Added: - Overlays for gates and berths Fixed: - Panels (gate request, docking request, etc.) are always on top of overlays (ex: the border around ships) - Panels can be brought to the front by clicking on them - Only one of each panel type can be spawned

  • Path: Crash fix, UI update - 1 April 2025

Crash fix: * Fix crash when going back to menu. This was a NEW back-to-menu crash that was introduced with some recent UI updates. The previous crash-to-menu was due to improper usage of an audio component persisting level transitions Added: * Relevant berth/gate name for the "Approaching..." chip on the ship's overlay

  • Patch: Settings, Crash fixes - 1 April 2025

Added to the escape menu: - play audio in background - window mode (windowed, window fullscreen, fullscreen) - resolution Crash fixes: - Fixed crash when a song ends - Fixed crash when going back to main menu - Fixed crash when acceping a docking/takeoff request on a ship that has been de-spawned

  • Crash fixes: Docking/takeoff request, main menu - 31 March 2025

Fix: Crash when going back to main menu. The UAudioComponent was attached to the UWorld context object. Fix was to use UGameplayStatics::CreateAudio2D and set bPersistAcrossLevelTransitions to true. Crash when assigning berth/gate for docking/takeoff requests: This happens when accepting a docking or takeoff request on a ship that has despawned, such as from having collided with another ship.

  • Music & Patch - 28 March 2025

Added: Jukebox: featuring music from State Azure! See more: https://www.youtube.com/@stateazure Timestamp next to sender's name in the global chat is their time alive. Players can now see how long they have been alive while communicating in the global chat. Misc: Backend architecture upgraded to support leaderboards for stations. TODO: Implement user-facing UI. Probably some other stuff has been added/tweaked, but my eyes are heavy and it's almost 11pm :) Have fun everyone. Please let me know your thoughts in the Discord.

  • Patch - 26 March 2025

Added: - Ships can collide and despawn. An incident is added to the incident panel. VFX/SFX Still need to be added. Fixed: - Resource transfers stop if the station runs out of money. Need to add UX for informing the user that it was a partial failure. In the future, this may factor into a reputation system.

  • Patch - 26 March 2025

Fixed: - Ship overlays disappear when looking away from them Added: - Offscreen indicator for ships Tweaked: - Only the relevant "status chip" in the ship overlay is shown. Previously, all status chips were shown, including: docking request, docking operation status, resource transfer, takeoff request, departure operation status. Now, only the relevant chip is shown.
