Where we're at! Although we're still at the early stages of Development, Astromattech is at a point in the process where we have a fully working and demonstratable prototype. There are many things that need to be worked upon and many changes that still need to be made however as they say, "Rome wasn't built overnight". The road ahead is long, but every step forward is a victory in its own right. One thing I've learned for sure though is that game development is rarely a straight line, it's full of unexpected turns and challenges, issues and surprises but that is what makes the journey so rewarding. Right now, players begin in an empty hub-world with three pre-set core structures: a portal, an "Upgrade bench" and a "Robot Constructor". What is Astromattech? Astromattech is a top-down, Twin-Stick Shooter / Bullet Hell game designed to challenge your skills and engross you in a cooperative experience like no other. From a young age, Video Games have given me a sense of freedom and adventure; I vividly remember the days when I'd go to my friend's house, Gameboy in hand and we'd lose ourselves playing games like Pokémon and Mario until the streetlights turned on and we knew it was time to go home. As I grew, so did the games we'd play, from Pokémon to Halo, from RuneScape to World of Warcraft and many, many different worlds. One thing however remained constant, the joy of exploring new realms side by side with my friends, sharing the experience together. It is this very feeling that has inspired me to create Astromattech, this game is about cooperation, leveraging your teammates unique abilities to defeat waves of mighty…
