  Hello Special Forces Operators! In today’s devlog, we'd like to share some of our inspirations for the game. Everything has a story behind it, and we hope this Devlog will give you insight into our creative process. Let’s jump right in! We loved Far Cry Blood Dragon, and we were disappointed we never got to see Ubisoft do more with the IP, so we took the premise of a throwback 80s’ shooter and thought it would make a great VR arcade game. 80s and arcade culture mixed well, and the game eventually expanded beyond the scope of an arcade game to a full-blown VR standalone game. We take heavy inspiration for our Rogue-like mechanics, such as our Perk and Class Systems, from one of the best games in the genre, Risk of Rain. Since we were working in VR, we couldn't have a traditional playable character roster. Like you see with all the colorful characters in Risk of Rain. So we treated each w…

  Hey there, Neons! In today’s devlog, we want to share some insights about our development journey that leads us to the upcoming Gamescom! Let’s jump right in! We are feeling immense pressure mixed with joy and excitement to showcase our game for the first time to a wider audience at Gamescom and to our peers in the gaming industry. This game started life as a VR arcade game, but through expansion of scope and time, we have been able to evolve it past our initial limitation of an arcade game and into a reflection of some of our favorite games, but in a VR space. Working with such a talented team, we have been able to achieve so much in such a short time. We have had to make many hard pivots in development. For example, our initial gameplay focus was on turret-style mounted gun combat, but through testing, we found that free-held weapons were just more fun and opened up our level design a…
