- FINAL DEMO launching October 1st - 23 September 2026
Hello, I’m back from my goblin coding cave with a fresh new demo! And it’s coming out in a little over a week! This is going to be a similar style of demo to the next fest demo, with a limit to the amount of days you can play. But since the demo, there’s been a bunch of quality of life changes i’ve added that i hope you’ll notice. In no particular order: An actual tutorial flow with tool and process explanationsOverhauled Quests system for decorationsOverhauled parcel selection Lore! Daily RNG impacts to deliveries are way betterAnd the shelf bonus system is all impacting tools, economy and discountsOverhauled Transform system and removal of that rotate cart buttonEvery single game has a regional variant for PAL/NTSC Video summary on youtube: I’m still balancing stuff but i’m quite happy with how the macro game systems are now directly impacting how you clean and how the game selects par…
- Now Releasing November 5th - 7 August 2026
Hello! Well oodles of stuff has happened since next fest, and i’m happy to say that the coding time in my little goblin cave continues to be really productive. But, after a bunch of looking at timelines and the state of the game and how the flow is feeling, i’ve decided to move release from the September 24th date previously, to November 5th. This is about 6 weeks of extra time, and It’ll let me do all the balancing and quality of life stuff that I want to do to have it playing well for launch. There is the giant behemoth game that is GTA lurking not to far away from that date, but I still think it’s the best call for the game.ProgressBecause this is an update i’m also going to include more stuff i’ve been working on and how it’s lookingTutorialsYou might remember that i went very Dark Souls with the playtest and Demo re: tutorials. Now there’s a proper reactive system that teaches all…
- Tiered Language support plan for launch - 14 July 2026
Tiered Language support planToday I updated the steam page to show supported languages, moving from 30 target to 9. Buuut this change doesn’t mean I do not intend to support the other languages originally listed. Instead I'm splitting my localisation into goals, where the 9 are what I plan to ship with, and the remaining are what I'll be adding in post release with community translation support. If you’d like to help translate, you can add your details here and i'll email you when ready
- Thanks for playing the next fest demo! - 27 June 2026
Hi everyone!I’ve just pressed the button to sunset the next fest demo for Cozy Game Restoration. Thanks for commenting, reviewing and sending feedback. I’ve been going through lots of planning and poking at my systems with all this feedback in mind. LETS TALK ABOUT STATSCozy Game Restoration was the 24th most played demo during Next Fest 146,000 people downloaded the demo113,000 people played the demo ( ~77% )57,000 plays during the Next Fest weekMedian time was 36 minutes, which i’m guessing was about 2 games cleaned280,000 Wishlists which is head explode emoji territoryThese are all very big numbers which i am still coming to terms with tbh, so instead of dwelling on them i'm going to talk about my feelings: CANDID DEMO THOUGHTSCozy Game Restoration finished up at around 68% which was like 6-8 reviews away from a mostly positive review rating. The key stuff i’ve learned has been that…
- Demo Patch 4 - UI and controller QOL - 24 June 2026
Demo Patch 4 is up!This is more of a quality of life patch with a focus on smooshin bugs and silly decisions i made with buttons and mapping. Mostly minor mid-clean fixes.TLDRAdded Hotkey for continuous cleaning for both controller and keyboardsTAB on keyboard, or Square on Controller (Xbox X)Flipped W/S From zoom to panning. Now WASD is panning. And Shift + W/S is zoom. You can also use + - to zoomFixed pause so game pauses in background during menu screen and you can't wreak havok in the background when playing with volume slidersFixed UI buttons so you don't accidentally activate tools when pressing menu items (yaaaayy this was super annoying for me too)Hotkeys for the controller - dpad up and down for cycling toolscycle back and forth between tools on keyboard with z keyother stuff i cannot rememberNew mappings:( i have just discovered padcrafter for layouts omg )I'll be probably ov…
- Demo Patch - Audio Settings, Toggle press ingame settings, Tape Fixes & more! - 18 June 2026
Demo Patch 3 is live! Thanks a ton for the feedback and reviews over the last week. It's helped me rethink some of the systems i thought were good enough for a demo, or just wasn't on my radar atm.TLDR patch notes:Tool toggle press is in more places in the gamewas just in options before but it's also in ingame options. If its still reported as hard to find i'm going to maybe add a button on the hudVolume and AudioMaster Volume addedMusic Volume addedTons of audio polish and tweaksAudio changes when opening/closing windowBin-osaur makes noises when eating packing peanutsIn game options menu added (yaaaayy!)Clearer 'save and quit' button on the options menuInput settings on options menu so you can enable and disable toggle pressoptions for audio too. basically all the normal stuff you'd expect. The only thing I wont be adding is resolution setting because of some spicy ui resizing issues m…
- Demo patch - Controller / SteamDeck Pan fix & Resolution fixes live - 8 June 2026
Demo Update 2This is the last of the critical stuff i wanted to jump on ASAP. The future stuff will be additional content and quality of life stuff :) Pan now works as expected on Deck / ControllersThe Pan toggle (L1) was bugged on the previous build and would try to Pan + rotate at the same time, resulting in you just seeing the camera panning. This is now working as expected on SteamDeck and all controllers. I've tested on DualSense and the LCD SteamDeck. Windowed Mode!I test ALL the time in windowed mode, and a few people have mentioned that it's their preferred way to play. This is now a setting in the Options menu. Also the options menu isnt' hiding itself when you click a menu and generally makes more sense. its in a window woo!Resolution reworkedThere was an issue where the game would resize the game to the known resolution before checking what resolution was available. And becaus…
- DEMO: Fixes to phantom stickers on Silicon64 carts & Carpet teleporting - 6 June 2026
Demo patch 1Whilst this demo is up I'll be patching and polishing stuff that either isn't working as expected, or that are causing trouble. To raise stuff, you can either pop into the discord or post here.Stickers fixesSome stickers were being spawned completely off the silicon64 carts, which meant that you couldn't hit 100% cleans. If you've had one of these carts that have decided to spawn with that sticker, the game will replace this with a new sticker now. (Stickers won't be spawning off cart now too)Stickers! yaaay!Teleporting camera into the carpet fixA camera math problem was triggering during the unboxing scene causing the camera to invert and look at the game from under the carpet. I'm like 80% i've fixed this but will be keeping an eye on itThanks for raising these issues and for playing the demo! The game is better because of it :)-Adam

Steam Playtest updateHey everyone! I was supposed to launch the playtest later today (may 1st) buuut its been delayed by a week. Here's what happened in a video:Basically:I did all the building and stuff for windows, mac, and LinuxI uploaded them allWhen i submitted, I didn't include the actual windows build in the 'playtest' submissionWhich meant nothing was available to approveSo steam was likeWhat happens now?Now i've resubmitted AND checked the appropriate check boxes to include the build, and i'll be re-reading all the documentation to make sure i don't double faceplant and do this again next week. But the build will be increasing in content as a sorry from me:Moving from 4 -> 8 cleanable gamesMoving from 5 -> 10 days that the playtest will be runningMore polishThanks for your support and the rad comments on the game!
