  Just a small update today; Sound Effects: Fixed Paper Throwing sound effect not being affected by SFX slider in options. Levels: Adjusted the car crash in 2-3 to prevent Softlocking the player inside the crashed truck.

• Minor Update 4/16 - 16 April 2025

  Player: Camera Flash now fires faster. Added missing "hit" sound effect for the Spreadshot papers. Slightly decreased range of base Paper Enemies: Lowered Big Uncle's health from 3 to 2, Tall Andrew's from 2 to 1 (Pending further change upon feedback; potentially too easy now) Added more enemies to 2-2 Adjusted Maggies' collision so the player will kill them if they walk/jump on them, though it will still damage the player. The Tall Andrew driving the Truck at the end of 2-3 now reacts to getting hit after the truck has crashed. Levels: Slightly adjusted multiple enemies' and platforms' positions for more fluid attacks and movement on each level. Landing on the Powerlooms at the end of 2-2 would take a full life instead of just a heart on lower difficulties; this has been fixed. Fixed the collision on the scaffolding hanging from the ceiling in 2-3 so the player will not pass through it…

  Player Attacks: -Unlocked Newsie's rate of fire for the base newspaper attack. -Ink Jars now fire faster to ensure they fire in the direction you're facing when you fire them. Enemies: -Lowered Big Nephew and Tandy's Hit Points from 2 to 1. -Adjusted multiple enemy collisions to prevent completely overlapping one another. Levels: -Prevented potential softlocking at the end of 2-1; The concrete tube will now blink momentarily before respawning at its start point after it has completed its roll so you don't have to sacrifice a life or heart to force it to respawn. Menu Navigation: -Fixed highlighting selected option on Main, Stage Select, and Difficulty Select Menus (Can no longer highlight one option with the mouse and another with the controller/keyboard) -Added a "Front Page" indicator to the Stage Select Menu to help track "BREAKING NEWS" unlock progress.

  Welcome to the first look at Page Turner! Page Turner is my love letter to the classic side-scrolling arcade platformers I grew up with. I’ve always adored this genre, and I wanted to create a game that captures the magic that made me fall in love with it in the first place—from the challenging, fast-paced action of Konami titles like Sunset Riders and Contra, to the expressive, detailed animations of the Metal Slug series.
