• V1.0.1 - Game Breaking Language Bug Fix (Please read) - 24 July 2026

  Attempted to fix a game breaking bug locking players from progressing past the language screen. If you experienced a language screen problem before installing the update, please do the following before re-launching the game after it has been updated:With the game closed, open the Registry Editor app on your computer. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Alex Rassloff. Delete the folder called ‘MEATHOOK’ and start the game. This will delete your player preferences, including a potentially corrupt language setting. After that, it should work as intended.Demo will be updated to V1.1.5 shortly. Please let me know if any language problems persist and I will work to address them as soon as possible. Thanks!

  Added ability to change difficulty via the pause menu.Added UI flourish to better indicate when the game is paused (Like when opening the inventory).Fixed a bug which could cause the time power to break.Other minor bug fixes and polishing.

  Added the option to disable weapon auto-unholstering (Find check-box in the controls menu).Added the option to use weapon equip buttons to both unholster and holster weapons (Find check-box in the controls menu). I recommend disabling auto-unholstering weapons when using this feature, so as to avoid accidentally manually holstering weapons right after entering combat.Made it so the intro ‘Skip’ button fades in and out based on mouse movement.Made the intro ‘Continue’ button shake when it appears to better draw attention to it.Made it so pressing the ‘reload’ button with the shotgun both racks it and starts the reload sequence at the same time.   Changed how weapon shake works. Before: Firing weapons would amplify weapon shake and it would resolve over time when not firing, but only when the specific weapon was drawn. Now: Weapon shake resolves over time even when the weapon is holstered.Attempted to fix reported level 6 crashes. Performance should now also be improved in Level 6.
