- Update 2.49.0: Shoulder Shields and Long Range Rifle - 19 September 2026
This week's update introduces a batch of armatures with shoulder mounted shields. These shields are smaller and weaker than handheld shields but can be used on supporting and filled armatures depending on the weapon. Since shoulder shields don't offer much coverage from projectiles, their best use is to deflect melee attacks on builds that otherwise would have no access to a means of parrying. Certain shields can also be used to body slam enemy Granvir when raised, inflicting damage based on total mass.2.49.0Major FeaturesAdded 6 new armatures with shoulder mounted shields. Shoulder shields can be raised while the hand is empty, supporting a two handed weapon and while holding most weapons. Weapons that prevent the shoulder shield from raising when being held include those with wide or awkward grips incompatible with the raise pose like axes, scythes, and launchers. Some shoulder shield…
- Update 2.48.0: Ammo Feed Variants - 12 September 2026
This week's update introduces 3 new munitions feed variants. Each variant only slightly expands the munitions feed but gives ranged builds new avenues to become more powerful. The Overloader Feed improves damage per shot at the cost of reload speed and ammo efficiency, ideal for builds that want to hit hard right away. The Turbo Feed allows you to boost your reload speed at the cost of heat generation, ideal for builds with plenty of spare heat and a small amount of weapons they want to keep firing. The Cushion Feeds reduce reload speed but provide a large amount of recoil control, ideal for builds with multiple sets of simultaneously firing weapons. Each new feed has a variant at tier 2 and 3.Stat comparisons have also been added so you can better compare items. You can find them in shops, the inventory and the mech builder. In the mech builder, the stats of the hovered item are compar…
- Update 2.47.0: Ammo Feed Rework - 5 September 2026
This week's update overhauls how ammo is provided to weapons on your Granvir. Instead of each weapon having its own ammo container, Granvirs now have a new two slot inventory called the munitions feed that all weapons will pull from when firing. The munitions feed can be expanded with certain torsos, certain tracks, a new series of back modules and a new series of special modules. The primary goal of this rework is to simplify the inventory by removing the ammo slots that would come and go as weapons were added and removed. This should also remove the awkward incentive to carry around weapons you don't plan to use just to stockpile ammo and improve the parity between ranged and melee build's desire for supporting parts. Please be aware that due to the removal of the weapon specific ammo containers, saves may load differently than they were made as the system is unable to find the containe…
- Update 2.45.0: Hip Holsters - 22 August 2026
This week's update introduces small holsters through 9 variants of existing legs now equipped with hip mounted holsters. Small weapons like pistols, axes and short swords can be stored in hip holsters. Holsters are also now capable of performing cross-body swaps so a back right holster can now exchange weapons with a left side armature. Cross body swapping is available through a new control option on holsters.2.45.0Major FeaturesAdded 9 new variants of existing legs with small holsters on the hips. The new variants can be upgraded to from their base parts using the Modify Parts rest area feature.Added the ability for holsters to swap cross-body. Swapping cross-body uses an alternate keybinding.Adjusted the holster size of some small melee weapons like axes and short swords to small.Minor FeaturesAdded the WF01 Crenelation torso, a tier 3 armored torso that boosts recoil control.Added a…
- Update 2.44.0: Terrain Deformation, Fog of War Removal and Accuracy Rework - 14 August 2026
This week's update brings terrain deformation to all campaigns and a handful of adjustments to fully support it. Most importantly, the default setting for Fog of War has been changed to off. Thanks to the hills created by terrain deformation, fog of war is no longer required to limit sight lines and engagement sizes. Weapons accuracy has also been changed to be mostly dependent on Granvir-wide aim wobble built up by firing weapons so the shorter range weapons can modulate their firerate to fight at the longer ranges enabled by disabled fog of war and higher elevations. The accuracy changes are also intended to add some extra depth to ranged combat. Compared to melee, ranged has always lagged behind in complexity lacking emphasis on positioning or heat management. The addition of bloom caused by dashing should create a tradeoff between defense and offense where previously ranged weapon da…
- Update 2.43.0: Terrain Deformation Preview - 8 August 2026
This week's update introduces terrain deformation to the Zero Front campaign through new custom difficulty settings. Terrain deformation generates a random height map for each mission. A complementary map size setting has also been added so the deformation has more space to generate fun features to play around. The next few updates will focus on adding terrain deformation support to all campaigns. Once all campaigns fully support terrain deformation, it will become the default setting along with disabled fog of war. The core purpose of the fog of war was to limit player sight lines and create a plausible reason for enemies on the map to not immediately see the player but now terrain deformation achieves the same goal far more elegantly. Fog of war will remain in the game as a custom difficulty setting for those who prefer to play with it enabled. The removal of fog of war will also come…
- Update 2.42.0: New Boost Weapons - 31 July 2026
This week's update introduces a big batch of handheld equipment with integrated boosters to all tiers. The new equipment has a high heat cost to utilize but provides much of what a melee build needs in one accessible package. 2.42.0Major FeaturesAdded the RG Lone Strike greatsword series to all tiers. The Lone Strike is a heavy two-handed weapon with an integrated booster it can activate to perform a continuous dash and deal heavy damage. Three additional variants with a faster boost speed but higher swing heat and a laser edge have also been added.Added the BS Umbrella and ZP Manta shields across all tiers. These shields carry a massive booster that provides a continuous boost.Added the GW Broomstick scythes to tier 2, and 3. The Broomstick is a massive two handed scythe with an integrated booster it can activate to perform a continuous dash and deal heavy damage.Minor FeaturesAdded a…
- Update 2.41.0: New Back Modules - 24 July 2026
This week's update adds a batch of 12 back modules across all 4 tiers aiming to round out back part options beyond weaponry. The Meteor Boosters provide high speed forward mobility, the Cooling Fins provide a simple cooling boost and the Guardians provide a full coverage defensive barrier. The boosters should be a helpful tool in completing a melee focused build using ports that previously couldn't provide the required mobility.A big batch of campaign adjustments are also included in this update. The new brokers provide a way to invest further in your strategy with better access to ammunition and more. Resistance support and caches have also been adjusted to contain both ammunition and field sinterers. The additional field sinterers should help builds that don't rely on ammunition to stay in the fight.2.41.0Major FeaturesAdded the SJ Meteor Boosters, a full tier series of twin back moun…
- Update 2.40.0: Reactor Rework - 17 July 2026
This week's update makes a major overhaul to the functionality of reactors and cooling costs. The goal of the rework is to give some extra survivability to melee focused and simple ranged builds through a small cooling boost while reduce the survivability of heavily equipped ranged builds through a small cooling penalty. A new reactor load stat has been added to most ranged weapons that reduces cooling rate. The baseline cooling of all reactors has been increased so simple builds come out ahead. The cooling impact of reactor load is multiplied by a reactor's load impact stat so low cooling reactors lose less cooling with increased reactor load and high cooling reactors lose more.2.40.0Major FeaturesReworked reactors to have more variable stats, provide more cooling to simple builds and less to complex builds with tools to compensate.Added the reactor load stat replacing cooling penaltie…
- Update 2.39.0: Kick Rework - 11 July 2026
This week's update overhauls the kick functionality built into most legs. Kicks still aren't a melee weapon to stand on their own but they deal much more damage and will knock back both the user and the target. Kicks still benefit from other melee weapon boosts so the right legs and the right support like grapples can elevate kicks into a strong damage dealing options.Jumping has also been adjusted in a small way. After the sliding update, jumps were adjusted to require a brief period of uninterrupted groundedness before being usable. Now jumps fire with a short delay and only require being grounded at the start and end of this delay. The delay helps prevent the jumps from looking awkward when used quickly after landing and creations a window for a brief lowering animation for better visual feedback.2.39.0Major FeaturesAdjusted kicks to be easier to use, provide more utility and deal mo…
- Update 2.38.0: Sliding Movement - 29 June 2026
This week's update is coming a little early to accommodate my schedule and it majorly overhauls how legs move. All legs are now capable of sliding when they exceed their top speed. While sliding, control is greatly diminished until your Granvir slows down below its top speed. You can extend the slide by moving into it or cut it much shorter by countering the slide direction.Sliding happens most often after a dash and effectively extends the range of dashes. Hopefully the longer dashes can help early melee builds close the gap more easily. Sliding is a big boost to mobility as a whole but I think the lack of control while sliding keeps things under control on top of just looking cooler that the abrupt slow down. Please check in and let me know how you feel about the sliding after trying it out. Its is a big deviation from how things where before so I'm interested in hearing everyone's th…
- Update 2.37.0: Low Tier Hover Legs & Tank Torsos - 26 June 2026
This week's update introduces a wave of low tier hovers and new tank torsos to the loot pool as well as new fixes to the new hover platforms as well as additions to custom difficulty settings in the form of loot level boost adjustments. 2.37.0Major FeaturesAdded the HV/HT01 and HV/HT02 Barnacle, a tier 1 and tier 2 hover mobility platform with a small durability boost. Added the HV/HT03 Starfish, a tier 3 hover mobility platform with a small durability boost and increased agility over its lower tier variants.Added the TS/PZ01/G and TS/PZ02/G Daneweller, a tier 2 and tier 3 torso with a heavy cannon, no side ports and an auxiliary ammo efficient coaxial cannon.Minor FeaturesImproved the orbiting enemy's ability to eventually get out from behind larger sight obstructions.Added the custom difficulty setting Full Loot. This causes the loot table to function the same as it does in New Campai…

- Update 2.36.0: More Hover Legs - 20 June 2026
This week's update continues to fill out hovering mobility options. Two new transforming hovers and one new dedicated hover have been added. The Fortress is a heavy quadruped hover hybrid similar in function to other hovering options but with the ability to slowly ascend. The Daumenfittich is also a quadruped hover hybrid but transforms into a high performance, high cost bipedal hover. The Haunt is the first hover-only mobility platform and features high performance all around with the ability to ascend and boost performance for additional heat build up.2.36.0Major FeaturesAdded the MP/ETX01 Daumenfittich, a tier 4 quadruped leg that can transform into a high performance bipedal hover with the ability to ascend slowly.Added the MP/GGG01 Fortress, a tier 3 quadruped leg that can hunker down to boost reload speed.Added the HL05/G Loaded Lance, a tier 4 lance that can also fire projectiles…
- Update 2.35.0: Hybrid Hover Legs - 13 June 2026
This week's update introduces a new mobility type with hybrid hover legs. Hover legs can swap between regular movement and hover movement allowing them to reach higher speeds at the loss of control. Hover movement is generally more mobile but has far less control over momentum. Taking hits and firing weapons will push your Granvir while hovering, hampering a gap close or allowing for a rapid advance to the rear. The new legs have little airborne control and no ability to descend but they can slow their descent and slowly maneuver while airborne.Let me know what you like (and dislike) about the new hover movement. I'll be looking to add more hybrid, hover-only, airborne and ground type hover mobility options in future updates.2.35.0Major FeaturesAdded the MP/SB02 Dandelion, a T4 heavily armored leg option with toggleable high speed ground hover capabilities.Added the MP/BB04 Butterfly, a…
- Update 2.34.0: High Firerate Weapon Adjustments - 6 June 2026
This week's update focuses on a major rework of how the game handles high firerate weapons. The old system had slight variation based on framerate and caused the balancing tools that calculated the expected firerate to over-estimate and suggest lower DPS value the high the firerate was. The new system allows many weapons to reach their intended firerate and should amount to an up to 30% DPS boost for the fastest firing weapons like the MN01 Perforater. Since all weapons were affected to some degree, a small DPS counter adjustment has been applied.Due to the sweeping nature of the firerate rework, almost every weapon required adjustment and verification. If you notice any weapon behaving strangely, let me know so I can get it fixed up.2.34.0Major FeaturesReworked the firerate management system of ballistic weapons to more accurately hit their target firerate used for balancing. This appl…
- Update 2.33.0: 2 New Enemies - 1 June 2026
This week's update introduces 2 new enemy types to add some extra enemy variety. Each new enemies has variants to appear across all escalation levels. Commanders will improve the targeting speed of their nearby allies. Marksmen will fire with far more accuracy and continue to track their target while firing. A big wave of adjustments have also been made to address recent new player feedback. The mech builder has been further improved to make it easier to use. The gap between tier 1 and tier 2 weapons has also reduced to match the gap between other tiers to ease the early game difficulty curve and increase the window to reach tier 2.If you have been experiencing crashes recently please let me know if they continue. This update also moved to a newer engine version which should have some stability fixes.2.33.0Major FeaturesAdded the Marksman Granvir enemy archetype. Marksmen are fast rifle…
- Update 2.32.0: Throwing Spears - 22 May 2026
This week's update rounds out the thrown weapon options with a new set of throwing spears. The new spears work similarly to throwing axes but have a no-heat standard attack and can be thrown further with slightly reduced damage.2.32.0Major FeaturesAdded 3 new throwing spears across the tiers. Throwing spears are a no heat melee weapon with a weaker but faster and longer ranged throw than a handaxe.Minor FeaturesAdded a handful of important ship stats to the mech builder interface.Replaced all biped and quadruped footstep audio with new clips.Removed the ambient chainsaw weapon audio so it only plays when landing attacks.Disabled the crosshair rings and pips by default.FixesFixed a cause of desync that could occur if players in the same session have different CPU architectures.
