We've been slaving away at Varkian Empire HQ on our best PC patch yet that addresses a tonne of bugs, glitches and other ghosts in the machine that you guys have come across in your Twitch/YouTube streams. Keep the videos coming and we'll keep improving the experience for you! We'll roll out the update shortly once we've done some more testing to make sure it's solid as a rock, but in the meantime if you haven't got your copy yet, now is a great time as you'll save 20% off the regular price. - Update 1.0.0.3640: DirectInput, keyboard remapping + more - 17 March 2016
Mega patch 3640 has arrived! New stuff includes support for DirectInput controllers, keyboard remapping, "friends only" online matches, HUD improvements for better gameplay feedback, and lots of new shortcuts! We've also fixed random slowdowns in online multiplayer, reduced slipperyness on some Transporter maps, prevented unfair deaths due to online lag, made many HUD/UX improvements, and improved game stability and performance across the board. - 16-Player Kart Combat: Obliteracers Released - 24 February 2016
Squeezing 16 people into one room for a few tracks of Obliteracers sounds somewhere between a right lark and sheer hell. It’s a kart racer doing those kart racing things – driving fast around wacky tracks – but with a bit more of a focus on mayhem and carnage and other exciting nouns a destruction derby announcer might yell thrice. What’s neat is that, on top of online multiplayer, it supports 16-player local play with folks use things like laptops and pocket telephones as extra controllers. …

- A new year, a new name: Obliteracers! - 18 January 2016
Space Dust Racers always felt like a working title to us. It wasn’t particularly descriptive of the core gameplay, and was a little longwinded to say. From our very first public appearance at GDC 2014, we’d had chats about finding a better name, but it was always something to be swept away for a later date… we had more important things to worry about after all, like building the game! But one dark and stormy night, Grigor burned the midnight oil flipping through a thesaurus trying to lock in on what it was that made our combat racing game great. At 3am he cried aloud “EUREKA!”… then profusely apologized to his wife for waking the baby. We’re sure you’ll agree Obliteracers is much more on point for the combat-oriented gameplay we’re going for… we’re as much about the destruction as we are about the speed! We have a lot more to talk about over the next few months as we wind up for our PC…
