• Authenticity Matters! - 18 October 2025

  With my visual novel, The Last Waltz, authenticity was always important. I worked very hard with my artist to ensure that every dance scene was accurate to how Dancesport actually looks, and I commissioned a 35-track soundtrack, with almost all the music being actual Dancesport compositions. And to prove just how authentic it all is, I sponsored one of the most important Dancesport championships in Australia. At this year's Oceania Dancesport Championship, they played music from The Last Waltz during the opens competition. You don't get more authentic than that. • Interview: The Music of The Last Waltz (Part 1) - 3 August 2025

  Authenticity matters in The Last Waltz. Dancesport is a unique sport in many ways, and the music used in Dancesport competitions is different to what you'd expect in a normal soundtrack. Dancesport music requires specific rhythms, structures, and tones, and for that reason, we knew early on that using existing music wouldn't really work for this project. We needed an OST. To achieve that, we worked with three different music artists, each contributing around 10 pieces of authentic Dancesport music. Today, we sat down with one of the artists, Jof, to discuss what was challenging and interesting in this project. Jof's background comes heavily from Hip-Hop tradition, so it was always going to be an interesting process for him to try his hand at a Waltz or Cha Cha.   Authenticity matters a great deal in The Last Waltz. We have worked incredibly closely with the artists and musicians to ensure that everything that you'll see in the VN is true to the world of dancesport. • First Hands-on Previews of The Last Waltz - 23 May 2025

  Hello folks! This is our first announcement on Steam, and we'll continue to make little announcements, showcase interesting bits and pieces from behind the scenes, and share information as we get ever closer to the game's actual release. What I wanted to use this first update for is to share a couple of previews of the game. We gave a couple of people in the specialist games press access to an early demo so they could get a feel for what The Last Waltz offered and how it was shaping up. They got to play through the first three chapters (of 11), which introduced them to all the characters and the storytelling of the VN.
