Latest Steam announcements
- Patch Notes - 7/4/26 - 5 July 2026
Fixed dialogue bug preventing player input Updated animations so they don't appear so... zombie like? Adjusted difficulty and zombie placements Added more obvious indicators to the freezers on later shifts
- Some Assembly Required - Update 1.02 - 28 May 2025
An update for Some Assembly Required has been released. Fixed some audio bugs I noticed while watching gameplay footage. Tweaked the difficulty of Shifts 6 and 7, lowering the amount of bodies required for level completion.
- Some Assembly Require V1.01 Updated - 23 May 2025
After watching a few videos and streams on Some Assembly Required (and a huge thanks to everyone enjoying the game), I found that the largest headache came at Nights 6 and 7 due to the monitors being disconnected. There was an indication on each freezer that contained a body part, but it seems to have gone unseen most the time, and so I've decided to make the indications much more noticeable. I also caught players skimming or skipping the tablets during gameplay, which I kind of expected and added the notes to the main menu. Since it's more likely to read the notes on stream during the game rather than return to the main menu and read everything, I've set the tablets to now automatically pause the timer, husk count down, and zombie AI. If there's any other bugs you all have ran into, or some quality of life changes you might recommend, feel free let me know in the comments.
- Some Assembly Required is now ALIVE! - 20 May 2025
Today I am happy to announce that Regenix is opening it's doors to new employees, and can't wait to see how you all perform. It's been months of development, testing, late nights, more testing, fixing up small flaws, a small bit of scope creep, and more testing, but it's all paid off as Some Assembly Required is now available for you all to play. Featuring 7 main story shifts, and endless mode for anyone who really loves putting together corpses, and a hard mode version of each shift with no regenerating health or help finding parts aside from the monitors when available. Notes of both story and funny ideas that popped into my head while working on the game, and achievements for each level (along with a few hidden ones). I can't wait to see how you all like this little game from a solo dev, and I'm looking forward to working on my next project.
- Demo Update - 8 May 2025
I've pushed an updated build of the demo using the assets and optimization that I've worked on in the full game. It still covers Shift 1 and 2, but the zombies have new animations, the sequencing is more optimized and as a teaser all note titles are now available from the main menu. Looking forward to the full release soon!
