- Venusville Prologue 2.15 — Update - 23 August 2026
Another regular update to improve building, tutorials, and overall usability.Fixes & ImprovementsFixed an issue where Carrier Robots could get stuck after demolishing certain interior structures.Buildings and Interiors can no longer be placed when resource boxes or robots are blocking the construction area. This prevents situations where players could build on top of resource boxes and make them inaccessible. However, now you will need to wait for the area to clear before building.Fixed the Storage Pad – Clear Filter button localization.Tutorial Fixed the Tutorial Zoom Out task getting stuck. The tutorial now includes new tasks for:WASD movementTAB to rotateBuilding a Storage PadNew Camera Smoothing SettingA new Camera Smoothing slider has been added to Settings. The camera has a slight rotation and easing effect designed to make it feel as if the camera is attached to a drone. However, I…
- Venusville Prologue 2.13 — Storage Filters, Ultrawide & More - 19 August 2026
Venusville Prologue 2.13 is now available! This update brings a major improvement to how resources move around your city, along with new ultrawide support, Venopedia improvements, and several important fixes. 📦 Storage Pad FiltersStorage Pads can now be filtered to only accept selected resources.Until now, robots could deliver incoming resources to any available Storage Pad, which could make storage areas messy and create unnecessary travel across the city. With Storage Pad filters, you can now decide where resources should go.Build a Storage Pad next to a producer interior machine and filter it to accept the resources produced there. Or place storage close to where resources are actually needed and control incoming deliveries accordingly. This gives you much more control over your logistics network — helping you keep the city organised while also reducing unnecessary robot travel. 🌐 Ult…
- Update 2.12 - 11 August 2026
First of all, a huge thank you to everyone who has played Venusville and taken the time to send feedback, report bugs, and share your experiences. The Prologue has already helped uncover a lot of issues that I simply couldn't have found on my own, and several of the problems reported by players are now fixed in this update. Here’s what’s new:Save System• Fixed a bug that could prevent the game from saving correctly. • Fixed a save corruption issue. • Added a recovery process for old 2.11 saves, including recovery of corrupted save files. • Added a new save indicator to the UI.Interiors• Fixed an issue where rapidly clicking the demolish button could cause robots to get stuck. • Fixed an issue where removing a building or interior while it was under construction could cause robots to get stuck.• Recharge Pads and Repair Pads are now also properly restored when loading a game. • Fixed an ex…
- 🚀 Thank You, Venusville Pioneers! (+ Update 2.12 Incoming) - 10 August 2026
Hey everyone,I wanted to take a moment to say a genuine thank you. Since launch, over 6,000 of you have picked up the Venusville Prologue, and many of you have actually jumped in and played it. As a solo developer, seeing those numbers is honestly surreal. But the real gift has been the feedback. Every bug report, every "hey this confused me," every suggestion — I've read all of it, and it's already making the game better. This kind of direct line to players is something you just don't get anywhere else, and I don't take it for granted. One thing that really floored me: the prologue was designed to be a tight ~1 hour experience, and yet I'm seeing players clock over 5 hours in it — then ask when the full game is coming. To answer that directly: I'm working on it. Seeing people get that invested in the prologue is exactly the fuel I needed.Prologue Update 2.12 — coming in the next few days…

- 🗺️ New Planetary Map - 19 May 2026
🗺️ New Planetary MapTo support the new exploration-driven approach, I’ve also redesigned the planetary map.The original 3D globe looked nice, but testing showed it was harder to read, manage, and iterate on — especially as a solo developer. The new map is flattened, making it clearer, more usable, and easier to expand. How the map worksThe planet is split into three switchable maps (top-right selector):Main planetary band from the equator to ~60° latitude (rectangular)North Pole (disc-shaped) - Featured in the PrologueSouth Pole (disc-shaped)The centre is the main interactive mapTop-left shows the status of:Scanner towersSatellitesHorizontal enginesLeft side lets you toggle overlays:WindResourcesDangersAnomaliesDay / night sideYou can click icons directly on the map to inspect features. If you have engines, you can also select navigation targets directly on the map, and your city will f…
- What Venusville: Prologue? (how it fits with Venusville) - 18 May 2026
Hey all!I wanted to take a moment and talk about Venusville: Prologue, what it actually is, why it exists, and how it connects to the full Venusville experience.Venusville: Prologue is a free standalone intro experience where you take command of a robotic mission to build and stabilize Platform 17 — a floating platform in the polar clouds of Venus sent to investigate a mysterious anomaly. You’ll direct robots to manage resources, balance buoyancy, generate power, and deal with the treacherous atmosphere — all without humans on board yet. It’s meant to be a focused bite‑sized experience (~1 hour of core gameplay if you’re cruising through it, and more if you enjoy experimenting) before the full game.🤔 Prologue vs Full Game — the simple versionHere’s how the two relate:🔹 Venusville: PrologueRobot‑only gameplay — no human needs to juggle.Core mechanics like buoyancy, balance, power, and…
