• Redrawing the World of Sushi On Wheels - 2 July 2026

  Hello, everyone!Hey Everyone! We've been working really hard on getting a demo ready for the game!Recently I've been working on lots of back end systems for the game so haven't had a lot to show! However, I also gave the map of the Izu Peninsula a total overhaul! The world map is one of the first things you see before setting out in your sushi truck, so I wanted it to feel like more than a simple location select screen. Heres the map of the Izu Peninsula before! It was lacking detail and character. I also got feedback from you all that the color was too flat!And heres the after result! I spent some time travelling around the Izu Peninsulia last year and used a lot of the pictures i took as reference for this!The goal here was to make it a lot more detailed and create movement, making the map feel alive!Here's the bamboo forest on the map. I made a fun shader animation that makes it sway…

The playtest will take place from the 3rd of April 2026 until the 5th of April!For anyone unaware of how a beta playtest works, on the 3rd of April you'll be sent a key to access the beta through Steam, then on the 5th of April, access to the beta will be removed as the playtest ends. The playtest demo will only be in English, as I'm still putting together the translation system.   Hello, everyone!Hey Everyone! We've been working really hard on getting a demo ready for the game!Recently We've been working on the festival mechanic in the game.There'll be festivals to attend where you can meet other food truck vendors like at the Shirahama Festival! If you sell enough sushi and build your reputation you'll get invited to participate in local festivals! When selling sushi at a festival, you can walk around it first to talk to all the other food vendors, who might give you tips that give you buffs for the day!Once you start selling Sushi, You'll get a lot more customers then usually since everyones hungry, and you can whip out your dance moves to attract everyone to your food truck!Once you complete a festival, you'll gain access to new areas to sell sushi!If you have any questions, come over and say hi in the discussions 👋 I'd love to hear from you!
