  In my game you can upgrade your boat, catch dozens of fish, and even face off against El Gran Maja but none of that matters as much as what I'm adding today.You can now pet the dog.While exploring one of the stranded islands, you'll come across a stray dog. Alone, waiting, and very much in need of a good scratch. Once you find him and show him some kindness, he'll follow you back to your boat and make himself right at home, curling up to rest as you sail the open waters.But don't let his cosy napping fool you he's keeping watch. When El Gran Maja lurks nearby, he'll bark to warn you.Your time together isn't forever though. The mission tasks you with finding his owner and returning him safely.   This month I've been working on adding a new threat to your peaceful fishing sessions birds. But these aren't your ordinary seagulls looking for scraps. These winged criminals will actively swoop down and steal your hard earned catch right off your line!The fishing mechanics just got a lot more interesting. You'll need to stay vigilant while you're waiting for a bite, because at any moment one of these feathered bandits could appear and make off with your fish. But don't worry - you're not defenseless. While your turret is primarily designed for dealing with El Gran Maja (the game's main threat), it turns out it works just as well on thieving birds. There's something deeply satisfying about getting your revenge and teaching these sky rats a lesson about respecting other people's property.Let me know what you think of this addition! • I Added Fishing To My Game - 29 November 2025

  Maja Island Developer UpdateHey everyone! I’m excited to share a brand new feature I’ve been working on: you can now go fishing in the game!Players can head out onto the water, cast their line, and catch a variety of fish, each with its own value and rarity. You’ll be able to sell your catches for money or resources, which can then be used to upgrade your boat making future fishing trips even more rewarding.I also plan to add a Fish Log Book, which will automatically record every species you’ve caught. The idea is to give players a clear way to track their progress and see what they’re missing. I’m still finalizing the full roster of fish, but right now it’s looking like 25+ unique species will be included in the final game.More updates coming soon thanks for following along.

  Maja Island Developer Update I've updated El Gran Maja in two significant ways that transform it into the true ocean menace it was always meant to be.Size Increase: 5X Bigger (Based on Feedback) After sharing the design on reddit, many people said to make it BIGGER. They were absolutely right. The real creature this is based on is absolutely enormous, so El Gran Maja needed to match that scale.Even while testing the game, watching it randomly swim through the ocean depths genuinely spooked me.
