  • Community feedback update - 12 November 2025

A week after release, and the first patch is now live! According to some great observations and suggestions from the player community, some things have changed, one thing in particular has been added, and with a little luck, a big thing has been fixed. Let's get into it!Added:TutorialNow players can learn about the mechanics and get more familiar with how to play with a short, hands-on tutorial! Please note:There is an issue with button focus when starting the tutorial. Clicking on the screen when the controls are displayed will break focus, preventing the use of the on-screen selections. If this happens, press Tab on your keyboard until you see the blue selection box appear on the selectable buttons. This will be the next thing I fix, and I apologize for this temporary inconvenience.Changed:Movement speed has been increasedWalls are now much less slipperyThe loading screen has been rede…

  • IT IS DONE - 7 November 2025

At 40 years of age, my life long dream of making and releasing my own game has finally been fulfilled. Curtains The Clown is now available for less than the price of a coffee! I am overjoyed to bring this chapter of my game development journey to a close and begin the next one. While I do have plans for a second game, there are still more things that I would like to add to CTC post-release. Any additions I make will come as free content updates and will never affect the price. Thank you to everyone who supported me through this. You know who you are, and I love each and everyone of you!

Almost time for the festivities! Here is my streaming schedule for the week of the Next Fest! It's going to be a wild ride, I've never streamed on Steam before, but I'll do my best! • Release date announcement - 4 October 2025

SOONIt is with great pleasure that I would like officially announce: Curtains The Clown will be releasing on November 7th! Between now and then, I will be play-testing as thoroughly as possible to make sure everything is working correctly. Some attention will also be paid to the environments as well to spice up the visuals a bit. At the time of release, 2 years, 1 month, 3 weeks and 1 day will have passed since I began this journey into game development. I can hardly believe that the moment of truth is nearly here. To everyone who has morally supported, actively promoted, constructively criticized and directly assisted, I couldn't have made it this far without you! To show my deepest appreciation for all you have done, a 40% launch discount will be applied for the first 2 weeks after release. The normal price will only be $2.99 USD, but you deserve nice things for the joy and positivity…

  • Demo update: Gamepads work in the menus now! - 26 August 2025

The title says it all, folks! 100% of the game can now be controlled through the gamepad, including the audio sliders and drop box for supported resolutions! Note, if gamepad focus is ever lost while in the menus, clicking anywhere with the mouse will reset the menu and gamepad focus will be restored. Curtains is about to turn 2 years old next month, September the 16th, so I hope to have some new things to report on before his official birthday! Talk to you then if not sooner!

  • Notes about the demo - 15 August 2025

Hello everybody! For this very first announcement, there are some things you should know about the current state of the demo.Updates:I'm not sure how it happened, but the update queues have stopped showing up in the library. I now have to manually make announcements for when an update is available, and you will have to verify the game files to access said updates. This can be done by right-clicking the demo in your library, then clicking Properties>Installed files>Verify integrity of demo files, but that is a big pain in the neck for everyone involved. Rest assured, I am trying to make the updates show in the library again.Controller functionality:While the demo does support controllers for gameplay, only the mouse works for making menu selections. Bringing controller functionality to the menus is one of my top priorities and I'm currently working on making this happenDifficulty setting…
