  Hey everybody! Just wanted to make a quick announcement that The Pale Deep (and my other games on Steam) will be switching to free to play at the start of June. Just wanted to let y'all know in advance so that nobody buys the game like 6 hours before it becomes free or anything.

  Hey guys! Update 1.2 is almost ready for the main branch, but just needs a little testing to make sure everything is all good! I am but a solo dev with a small group of friends to help me playtest, so it would really help me out if you're able to give the experimental branch of 1.2 a shot and let me know if you run into any issues, or if you don't run into any issues! I probably should've put a link to it in the game itself, and I will be adding one in the content update I'm working on, but for now, we have this news post! • July 18th Panic Patch - 19 July 2025

  Hey guys! As you may be aware, I released a small update the other day that added a settings button to the main menu, as a few people have requested. This has taught me a valuable lesson in programming, that no matter how small a feature is, don't underestimate its ability to break the entire game. Due to a bug that came along with this update, some people have lost their save files. The game has since been reverted to the launch version which is free of this bug, and I'm going to hold off on implementing the options button on the main menu and will instead add it alongside the content update I'm working on, since that update will get extensive testing.Make sure that the game is updated to the latest version before playing to make sure you don't lose your save file (if there isn't a settings/gear icon in the top right of the main menu, you're all good.
