Boku, a young boy from Tokyo, is visiting his aunt in the countryside. Excited to explore his new surroundings, he befriends a shrine maiden named Ayane and enjoys visiting her during his short vacation. One day, while visiting Ayane as usual, Boku touches a mysterious object in the shrine, accidentally breaking a seal that unleashes vengeful spirits, called Youkai. Hearing Ayane scream, he rushes to her aid and learns about the disaster he has set in motion. To restore balance, Boku must collect the Three Treasures and gather the talismans needed to seal the Youkai away again. If he fails, the spirits will wreak havoc, and Ayane will suffer because of her heightened sensitivity to them. Ayane directs him to the school where the Youkai are gathering. Now, Boku faces a critical hurdle: will he succumb to the spirits, or will he make the right choices to protect Ayane and save the countryside? Explore and search for clues in the neighborhood, the shrine, and the school.
