    We've implemented several new gameplay systems:Object SnappingSome objects now have designated locations and/or specific positions. When you try to place the correct object in its intended spot, it automatically snaps into place.This not only provides clear visual confirmation to the player, but also makes object placement much easier and more satisfying.Breakables & DecalsWe've added an object durability system, meaning that certain items can now break depending on how fragile they are and how hard they're hit.Since some breakable objects contain liquids, we've also implemented a decal system (similar to graffiti or tags in other games) that allows spills and stains to appear on floors, walls, and even other objects.Contextual ActionsWe've added contextual interactions to several objects to give players more options and encourage experimentation.For example, syringes can now be used to…

    During early versions we realized that our floating object grabbing system naturally lent itself to a more slapstick-style physics approach. However, this also meant we wouldn't be able to create contextual interactions for individual objects, which went against our goal of encouraging reactivity, experimentation, and ensuring that everything in the apartment served a meaningful purpose.Because our game relies heavily on those interactions, we decided to remove the traditional grab system and instead equip the player with physical hands capable of grabbing objects, using different poses, and playing unique animations.This new implementation gives us much more flexibility when creating complex systems, while also allowing us to add personality to contextual object interactions and improve the game's visual feedback.The new hands will make it easier to develop upcoming features such as th…
