- Tutorial, partial controller support & achievements - 20 July 2026
Hey everyone!Today I’ve released a third smaller update, and together with the updates from the past few days, I wanted to bring everything into one clear announcement.Over the last week, I introduced a new tutorial system to help players get accustomed to the menus, the core actions needed to begin building, and the differences between the game modes. This should make onboarding much smoother and create an even cosier experience for new players.I also added partial controller support, which has been tested (primarily with Xbox controllers). You can now play comfortably with a controller in all sandbox modes as well as Hop Mode, offering a more relaxing way to enjoy the game. Controller support does not currently extend to the main menu, pause menu, or the final UI screen - these still require mouse and keyboard. Finally, today’s update introduces achievements. These add more structure a…

Everything seems to work as intended in both Sandbox and Hop Mode. Thank you very much for your patience. See you in the next update. Silviu
- Tiny Terra Spaces got a - IGN & IndieMania3 Feature - 18 July 2026
Hey everyone!Something incredible happened yesterday - Tiny Terra Spaces was featured on IndieMania3 and streamed on IGN. Seeing my cosy Scottish island builder showcased alongside so many amazing indie games was surreal, and easily one of the biggest moments for the project so far, right next to the 80 Level “Game of the Week” feature.I wanted to share the links with you so you can check out the showcase:IGN Stream: https://www.youtube.com/live/LCT8X3fl_dc?si=98iTJQPl5lAjYxWm&t=1931Mike Odyssey Stream: A few more creators have covered Tiny Terra Spaces recently as well (I will only share a couple):Viixune shared a thoughtful review that really captures what the game is - a minimalistic, cosy, stress‑free island builder - and what it intentionally isn’t (a deep, complex city‑builder with heavy research trees).Becktoriiia also created a wonderful video that highlights the essence of Tiny…
- Tiny Terra Spaces -Tutorial Addition & Demo Update - 18 July 2026
Hey everyone!I’ve recently added a new tutorial to Tiny Terra Spaces. Many players shared that while the game has a relaxing and enjoyable loop, some mechanics felt a bit unclear at first, leaving a few people slightly lost in the beginning. The feedback was consistent: a tutorial would make the experience easier to jump into - so I’ve added one.The tutorial now appears across all sandbox modes (Start Fresh, Arran, Skye) and in Hop Mode for the first island. Its main goal is to introduce the core building menus - Agriculture, Actions, Houses, Civic Buildings, Industry, and Decorations - and explain how each mode works. Sandbox modes offer endless cosy building, while Hop Mode is a guided journey across islands with small objectives.I’ve also updated the demo, ensuring the Arran sandbox map is fully aligned with the new tutorial and includes the latest bug fixes - including the issue whe…

Hey everyone! I’ve added a new tutorial to all sandbox modes — Start Fresh, Arran, and Skye — as well as for the first level of Hop Mode. My hope is that this makes the mechanics clearer, helps new players settle in more easily, and keeps the cosy experience flowing from the very start. Thank you so much for supporting my game and my journey. See you in the next update. Silviu

Hey everyone! It has been a long journey to reach this point. - Tiny Terra Spaces -Updates to hop mode and more - 6 June 2026
Hey everyone!Thank you to everyone who has wishlisted Tiny Terra Spaces and played the demo. I appreciate all of you. For anyone new, Tiny Terra Spaces is a cosy island builder you can play at your own pace. There are no pressure and no risks. You can build an island one tile at a time in sandbox mode – Fresh Start or start with an island Arran or Skye-, or explore the Scottish isles in Hop Mode, placing buildings and reading about what life might have been around the Viking era through to the early Kingdom of Alba.Over the last couple of weeks I have made steady progress. Several new buildings have been added, including the Mead hall, Boat Shipping building, two new Viking huts, the Jarl Hall, and others. I have also been reviewing all existing buildings, testing how they look in game, adding props where needed, and adjusting their resources and rewards so they feel more meaningful.Mos…
- Tiny Terra Spaces - Releasing 25 June 2026! - 26 April 2026
Hey everyone!I’m happy to announce that Tiny Terra Spaces will be releasing on June 25, 2026.It’s been quite a journey since I joined the GameDev tv Game Jam in May 2025. There have been plenty of ups and downs along the way - including grant applications and Kickstarter campaigns that unfortunately didn’t work out. Despite that, I’m really glad I persevered and continued developing the game to the best of my abilities. For most of the project, development has been a solo endeavour. However, towards the final polish stage, I’ve been fortunate to receive support from some amazing volunteers - students and aspiring developers looking to build their portfolios and be part of a shipped project. All contributors will be properly credited in the game. A huge thank you to them for helping elevate the project, especially with art that I couldn’t have achieved on my own as a programmer. To celebra…

If you give the demo a try, please consider adding the game to your wishlist as well - it really helps me a lot.I also wanted to keep you up to date with the latest update I released for the demo today.Going forward, the demo will be much smaller. I had originally considered turning it off completely and possibly bringing it back later in a reduced form. Instead, I’ve decided to keep the demo available, but in a more focused version.Players will now be able to play on the already established Island of Arran, enjoy the cosiness, and build a community using a selection of actions and buildings available to them. I feel this offers a great insight into what the game has to…

- Tiny Terra Spaces - Demo update - 20 February 2026
Hey everyone!I’ve released a new update addressing feedback from players who tried the demo at Move Summit in Edinburgh. Here’s what’s changed:Building Placement Fix During playtesting, I noticed it was possible to place multiple buildings while one was still in its construction animation. If you had enough money and resources, you could spawn dozens at once. Tiles are now marked as occupied as soon as construction begins, fixing the issue.UI Improvements Based on feedback:The Actions menu has been moved to the beginning, as “Fresh Build” is usually the most important option. The back button has been moved to the first position and changed from “>” to “

Visual improvements with the introduction of a new cartoon shader across the assetsThe new shader really helps the buildings stand out, and they now retain some brightness at night, which gives the world a much nicer atmosphere.I’ve also added more character variation and will continue improving NPC behaviour.
