Beat-em-ups didn't die with the arcade, but they did enter a recession after the heyday of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Final Fight. After the rush in arcades, with classics pouring in from Konami and Capcom, they slowed to a trickle as interest in walking right and punching faded. But they didn't die. On Steam, the beat-em-up lives on. There are still gang-laden streets that need to be cleared by the fists of heroes. With Streets of Rage 4 coming, we decided to dig into the surprisingly vibrant selection of indie beat-em-ups on PC that have kept the genre’s stylistic violence going. Hi all! You may have noticed a small update to RAGING JUSTICE today. This update is intended for both PC and Mac players and includes a handful of fixes to problems highlighted by the community. As always, if you have any feedback for RAGING JUSTICE, please make sure to let us know in the discussion forums. IMPROVEMENTS IN PATCH 1: • Added Stun Power bars under enemy health bars, so you can better judge the level of stun on each enemy. • Fixed a bug whereby it was possible to end a stage before posting to the leaderboard. • Made some improvements to the analogue dead zones when using DualShock 4 controllers. • Small change localisation corrections. • Finally, you may noticed that the old Team17 logo at the start of the game has been updated to our shiny brand new version!

Remember Streets of Rage, Two Crude Dudes, Final Fight? Those were the days, weren't they? Innocently beating the dirty streets of the '80s clean, screen by scrolling screen. Well those retro pleasures are returning in Raging Justice, and it's coming 8th May on PC, Mac, PS4, Xbox One and Switch. It'll cost 10/€13/$15. I played Raging Justice in September at EGX 2017, and was smitten. It's exactly how I remembered those muscular beat-'em-ups from the past. You walk along the streets punching and kicking and/or flying-kicking hulking baddies, while picking a variety of knives, bats, molotov cocktails from the floor to use along the way.
