• Store Page Notice: Language Tags - 20 August 2026

  Hey everyone, Playstack Team here. If you’ve noticed a few languages disappear from our Steam store page listing, don't worry everything is running smoothly behind the scenes. As we refine our publishing setup, we've temporarily removed several language tags from the main store page. Organizing multi-region storefront assets involves a lot of moving parts, and hiding these tags keeps our store setup clean while we finalize the underlying publishing flow. What you need to know:Additional languages won't appear in the right-hand sidebar for a little while.These store page language tags will be re-enabled down the road as we progress through our release schedule.   Hey,Remember when, 20 days ago, I casually mentioned that About Fishing crossed 100,000 wishlists? When I posted that I thought - yeah, this is it. I have all the wishlists I need! (Especially when I think about how three years ago, right before Arctic Eggs came out, that number was 12,000 and I was sweating about it)Well. Someone has to hold my hand while I say this, but...About Fishing has over 145,000 wishlists now. This is surreal! Since the demo went up, it's been downloaded 54,000 times.Literally 54,000 of you decided to give this little game a shot. Thank you. • Playing its mystery-drenched demo suggests I'll like everything about About Fishing, except the fishing - 9 June 2026

  I spent this morning in the new demo of angler-detective mystery About Fishing – an updated and expanded sampler from the one that Oisin tried last year – and as a piece of playable marketing, it’s done the job. I am intrigued by its tale of mermaids and missing persons; I am absorbed in its creepy rural backdrop of dead streets and churches with prison cells in the basement; I am impressed by how it handles its cold, drizzly weirdness without ever going hey-hey wacky. Even when it introduces a thieving goose. Basically, this place is horrible, and I want to spend more time in it.   Hey, It's here. Playtest 2.0 is out right now and I'd love for you to try it - even if you already played the first one. (Actually, especially if you already played the first one.) And if that didn't convince you, I'm sure this trailer will. Here's what's in Playtest 2.0The biggest change is the one I teased in the last dev blog - casting. It's physics-based now.   Hey,First things first - I just want to say thank you for joining the playtest.25,327 of you showed up to the playtest. You sent 7,895 invites to your friends - which, by the way, is insane. And 1,728 of you went the extra mile and filled out the feedback form.   Video games have a tendency to be very impatient in a way that I think often makes for a worse experience. Constant rewards of many flavours push us to chase after the next challenge, there's not nearly enough games that ask us to slow down. That's why I love a fishing minigame. It is a test of patience that you cannot win by brute forcing anything, the fish must come to you, and you must wait for the right time. • About Fishing Revealed + Join Open Playtest - 4 December 2025

  Hey, Kevin (The Water Museum) here.So, this game spent over a year sitting in my folders as “Untitled Fishing Game” or at least that’s what it looked like. The truth is… it actually had a name for quite a while. I just held onto it until it felt like the right moment to show it. (proof at the end of this post) Anyway, About Fishing finally showed up in the PC Gaming Show today, which still feels a bit surreal. I’ve been working on it for quite a while with amazing support from Angel Perez Guzman (art) and Cameron Ginex (music).
