• ⚔️ New Game Mode: ARENA (Versus is coming!) - 30 January 2026

  Hey there, Ruins explorers! How's it going? ːtrololː After many tests (and a few broken friendships playing on the same keyboard lol), we decided that the Ruins were getting too small for so much treasure... and for so many players at the same time! We're working on a new mode: Arena (Local Versus)! 🛡️ The idea is simple: you against your friends (or enemies) in frantic battles. We've already tested Remote Play Together and it's working beautifully! So, even if your friend is far away, they'll be able to take an arrow from you over the internet. We're still balancing the items and the 12 languages ​​in the game (Russian is proving to be a real challenge to fit on the screen!), but soon you'll be able to test it in the Demo! • 🎮 NIPH Demo is now available on Steam! - 14 January 2026

  Hey there, explorers of the Ruins? ːsansː This week we launched the game's demo. It is still in a very preliminary stage, but we want more people to have a taste of NIPH... And all feedback is welcome (here is the form link, in case you didn't see it in the Manual/website!)! The demo will continue to be updated frequently; we have already fixed some issues with controls and improved the initial part that connects the Zipline (press Down to use it... and don't fall ːcupheadː) to the Ruins. We still have some items to add to this area and some creatures... Maybe even a new boss?!? We are also going to greatly improve the game's AI, combat balancing, and everything else, so stay tuned for future updates! • Big Update: Puzzles and Game Loop! (Steam Demo in December!) - 21 November 2025

  Hey Niph lovers! ːsansː We are working hard to create interesting puzzles for the game, improve the overall gameplay, the Niph game loop... Maybe even start on random dungeon generation? Big changes are coming, on the Itch demo for now, and soon for... The Steam demo release (still this year)! ːhp_beliː So, could you escape this room? Let us know in the comments lol We are also adding more clothing colors to the game, so each player can show off their style even more. Next year we will have new outfits, but for now we are focusing on improving the main gameplay, but that doesn't mean we can't have... More colors! • New Style for the Levels (Testing 123!) - 9 September 2025

  Hey everyone, how's it going? ːsansː We're testing a new style for the game's blocks/walls. This style makes the stages look more three-dimensional and also allows for characters (and objects) to have shadows on the ground. Because drawing levels this way will need quite some work (not to mention the shadows), it's just a test for now. We're prioritizing new diverse items, improving the enemies' CPU, and refining the stage/dungeon format to launch a demo on itch.io as soon as possible. After we polish that demo, we'll bring it to Steam.
