Citizens are sorted into levels, productivity is law, and public executions of Halves -- beings carrying mammal features -- have become entertainment. Hara thought he could survive in the shadows. A level-5 human expelled from university, running illegal deliveries through underground ruins, hiding his forbidden desires behind encrypted terminals.
