• 1.04 Patch Notes! - 17 May 2026

  This is a smaller patch, mostly just to fix some bugs/issues to get things cleaned up for a larger patch + some highly requested things! Bug fixes: -Fixed a bug where trying to upload a mod with an existing workshop ID for another game would fail (It now creates a new workshop id) - Fixed some UI related bugs relating to the wrong button being highlighted when mousing over a button - Fixed some typos for hints in the joke word list - Fixed an issue where linux players couldn't access custom teacher wordlists New Features: - Improved feedback when uploading a custom teacher! There is also now on screen text that will let you know how uploading the mod is going + any errors that arise, which should help modders figure out what's wrong

  New Features: - Added a save backup system + save protection. Hopefully not needed but better safe than sorry! If you ever need to roll back your save, the game will now produce back ups that you can find under the \AppData\Local\HornyMelon folder for the game!

  Gameplay Changes:- Many of the Non-touhou words in higher difficulties were Japanese words. Some of these were far too specific (Like youkai species). To make things more fair, many of these words have been replaced with other words.- The category of some words in the Non-Touhou wordpool have been changed, including some new categories being added! This should cut down on the long list of "Concept" words which was a little too vague.- Some word descriptions were improved to be more clear and understandable.- All-star and Nightmare modes forced players to play with all Touhou games set to on. While this is a great challenge, it immediately presented itself as unfair to players unfamiliar with the series. To make things more fair for everyone, All-star mode now has two functions. - If the player is playing with any Touhou tags on, it will force all Touhou games on like before. - If the pl…

  Bug Fixes: - Fixed an issue where modded teacher's "Anger veins" were animated improperly New Features: - Added some new cheat codes. - Using cheat codes will now prevent the player's score from being saved, mostly just to ensure your "Legit" score doesn't accidentally get overridden by a funny cheat playthrough. (You can still complete levels and progress through the game with cheats) - Added new randomized bouncing sounds (Just to make it a little more varied) - Modded teachers can now have multiple "Bounce" and "Upgrade" sounds for more variety! Check the updated Sound guide for details. - Added the ability to mix and match custom word lists! Now you can use modded word lists on any teacher you like (Including base game teachers), enable some custom words while disabling others, etc!

  Hello everyone!We've been hard at work on developing the game, and at this point there's quite a bit of news I'd like to share with everyone!RELEASE DATE ANNOUNCEMENT:I'm happy to announce that we'll be aiming to release on April 28th, 2026! After such a wonderful reception to the demo, we're determined to try out best to cram as much additional content into the full game before release! Please look forward to the game then!DEMO PAGE AND IMPROVEMENTS:We've also updated the demo since it launched! Including fixes and tweaks to the word pool to make it more fair, and fixing up some controller support issues!
