- đ 1.3 - The Most Cozy Patch (now -30%) - 22 June 2026
This is the one we kept calling the coziest patch - and we meant it. 1.3 adds a new app to your desktop, two more endings, new things to read and dig through, and a pile of small stuff that makes the whole desktop feel more alive. A lot of it comes straight from you - your reviews, your bug reports, the screenshots of things that really should not have happened. Some changes are tiny. Some open doors you didn't know were there. ;> Two quick things before you dig in: the game now speaks four new languages - Simplified Chinese, Russian, Spanish and German - and to celebrate, Smile Dog is -30% off right now. Good time to send it to someone you like. Or someone you don't. ;) What's in this update:- Two new endings: a true ending and a new secret one - the coziest yet. They're in there. Finding them is on you.- ChillSweeper, a new app sitting on your desktop. Looks like a normal little gameâŚ
- v1.2.0 â Italian and Portuguese join the game! - 1 December 2025
Todayâs update brings two new localizations, fresh and ready to start scaring. The translations went through a full review process, and a few lines turned out so unsettling in the new languages that we briefly wondered if we had actually written them. If the atmosphere works, we donât fix it.Whatâs new:Italian and Brazilian Portuguese localization.A few minor text and UI tweaks, since we were already poking around in there.Whatâs next? Weâre working on more features and more localizations, but for now weâre happy that Smile Dog can speak in two new languages. If anything else catches your attention, let us know. And our Discord is always open.
- v1.1.1 - New Content & New Font - 12 September 2025
âIs that a 2 or an 8?â, âIs that a 4 or a 5?â, âWhat does this say?â - those were probably the most common lines we heard while watching your gameplay. Along with âplease fix this font, itâs unreadable,â âthis font belongs in the trash,â and âI canât read anything.â That was more than enough motivation to swap the font for a much more legible one.We also wouldnât be ourselves if we didnât add a little something extra: weâve added some content to endings #2 and #3 so we donât have to hear âthatâs it?â and âalready?â anymore. Hopefully this fills that little void! And weâve got something for those who wanted a bit more desktop immersion!Whatâs newNEW FONT!Endings #2 and #3 got a bit of new contentYou can now lasso-select areas on the desktop out of boredom or for fun! Not for us to judge.FixesBackspace now works in the installer!Difference markers no longer disappear immediately after youâŚ
- 1.1.1a - Hotfix - 3 September 2025
Changes & FixesRemoved the license code that unlocked Ending #2 from the email you receive at the start of the game. This used to have a 2% chance to trigger (donât ask xD).Fixed the âReality Checkâ achievement - it now appears on the correct level.Adjusted the jumpscare in Settings; it is now different from the final one.Fixed typos: the âmoving file to Trashâ message and the installer message (EN).Difference markers no longer disappear immediately after finding the last ones; they now clear only when moving to the next level (for a clearer end of the round).
- 1.1.0 - New endings - 27 August 2025
Itâs only been a few days since launch, but the first feedback is already pouring in. Weâre taking it seriously (seriously, seriously). To meet you halfway, weâve added a few of the treats you asked for - and fixed the things that were hurting your eyes or breaking your immersion. Some of these changes are small, but important; others may open doors you didnât know were there.Whatâs in this update:2 new endings (3 in total now)New trash icon on desktop (donât you dare click it! ;>)1 new achievement for secret endings (will you be the one to uncover it?)Adjusted lore to the new endings, and updated existing mails (some changes are minor, but important for the underlying secret ;>)Added new clues inside mails and other endings for the achievement: Ghost in the MachineAdded proper ending screen (youâll finally know when the game ends⌠or does it?)Added a Pause button to SMILE.DOG.Fixes:FixâŚ
- 1.0.1a â Hotfix - 25 August 2025
Fixed an issue preventing the following achievements from unlocking:Chain LetterReturn to Sender
