About this game
In BEFORE, you begin as a simple human in a mysterious and untamed world. Predators roam the forests. Storms sweep across the land. Smoke rises on distant horizons. Just staying alive is difficult. Knowing who to trust is harder still. Yet you dream of something more than foraging and sleeping on the ground. You dream of power, and of riches. Of a people to rule. Of a land to call your own. Explore the wilderness. Hunt, forage, craft, and survive. Claim territory, establish settlements, recruit citizens, and research new technologies as you lay the foundations of a growing civilization. Declare yourself a king. But beware. Maintaining your power will not be simple. And growing your glory will require cunning, strategy, and might. Lose it, and it's back to sleeping on the ground.
