Hi everyone! We extended the demo by request. Because of the noticeable quality gap between the demo and the full game, we've decided to take it down for a long while (maybe for good). It will be removed on September 14 at 4:00 AM EST. Thanks to everyone who played and gave us feedback!

Signs added, you can now place signs. Thrown items and shot arrows now travel more smoothly. New crosshair added for the Crossbow. Some trader items now have stock limits and only restock at set times. Fixed Crossbow arrows sometimes appearing to come from the wrong side of the screen. Fixed a bug where players joining late could get stuck due to a bad timeout flag. Fixed the Blowgun dart not being craftable. Fixed clients far from the lobby host being unable to break items with arrows. Fixed players clipping into objects when the maze finished rotating. Fixed items not syncing properly with the rotating maze. Fixed item-giving NPCs sometimes playing a walking animation while standing still. Fixed the Machete dealing no damage on throw.

Fixed the delay issue in voice chat. Optimized voice chat on the server side. The default push-to-talk key in voice chat is now X. (It was previously J, which conflicted with the Monster Scream skill.) Fixed an issue where you would sometimes stay in the game even after losing connection. Fixed texture issues on NPCs. Improved the censorship on characters. Fixed an issue that prevented players joining as clients from farming. Improved the filter icon in the Craft and Build UI. Fixed localization issues in the Notepad.

Thrown arrows and melee weapons now properly align with enemy hitboxes. You can now drop your bandage for a teammate while injured/downed using the 'G' / 'D-Pad Down' key. Added a "Toggled Run" option to Gameplay settings. You no longer have to hold the sprint key. Improved the gas mask overlay. Fixed monsters occasionally spawning inside walls on Layers 2 and 3. Fixed injured/downed players being able to walk while entering/exiting water. Fixed injured/downed players getting permanently stuck in ragdoll state. Fixed unbalanced creature spawn rates on Layer 1.

Fixed an issue where friends' save data was lost when saving in singleplayer after playing and saving together in multiplayer. Fixed a UI bug that occurred when crafting item quantities exceeded 255. Players who joined the lobby later were having trouble using the crossbow. Fixed. Added an option to disable input delay: Settings → Controls → Look Input Smoothing. The Inferno Protocol demo will be removed from Steam in 1 hour. Now that we've launched into Early Access, the demo has served its purpose, but we want to sincerely thank everyone who played it, reported bugs, and shared feedback. You helped shape the game into what it is today. The adventure continues in early access now, see you there!

Hey everyone! Our game launches on August 28th. Thank you so much for all the feedback you gave us, we managed to implement a lot of it. You've been a huge source of motivation for us, so thank you for everything.The whole team is really excited and we hope you like what we've put together. Our Early Access roadmap: Since we're launching into Early Access, we're taking the demo down on August 27th (we can push this date back if there's demand for it). We're also working on our launch trailer right now, we'll probably share it tomorrow.

Combat Update — Better Hit Feedback Highlights Melee combat got a full feedback overhaul: every hit now looks and feels like it lands. Zombies react to where you hit them, flinch when you interrupt them, and fall in the direction of your killing blow. Gameplay Changes Melee Combat Feel Impact camera punch — landing a melee hit now gives a quick FOV kick; heavy attacks hit noticeably harder than light ones. Hitstop — your swing and the enemy you strike both freeze for a split second on impact, giving every hit real weight. Works seamlessly in multiplayer. Swing trail effect — melee weapons now leave a slash effect through the air as you swing. Impact shockwave — striking flesh with certain weapons triggers a shockwave burst at the point of impact.
