Added three display modes: Windowed, Fullscreen, and Borderless (ideal for streamers). Introduced three new NPCs. Removed the old frame-style borders for a cleaner presentation. Fixed an issue with Adreim’s platform push mechanic that could trap the player and prevent movement. The system now behaves correctly.

Added Steam Cloud support for save data backup and synchronization. Reintroduced Fullscreen mode to improve performance on older and low-end PCs. Re-enabled DXGI_SWAP_EFFECT_DISCARD to increase stability and compatibility on legacy hardware. Fixed a critical bug where the game could close immediately on launch if a controller was connected.
- Optimisation Update & Gameplay Improvements - 30 December 2025
The camera now zooms in when you can talk to an NPC. The camera now deactivates distant instances to reduce resource usage. 100% of sprites no longer use separate layers; all layers have been merged to improve gameplay performance. The game can now be paused during the first boss fight. Previously, pausing disabled its animation; now pausing is enabled once the intro animation ends. Many sprites and tilesets were still running at 30 FPS despite having no animation. These have been set to 0 FPS to reduce unnecessary resource usage. Roatán island sprites and tilesets have been fully optimised. To drop through platforms, players must now press Down + Jump (improves usability for touch controls and gamepads). Hello everyone, To improve performance and reduce low FPS, I’ve removed most visual effects from the game. I’ve also optimized several room instances—some of them now remain inactive (“sleeping”) until the player reaches them, which helps save resources. Gameplay improvements: Improved collision with Red Kidney Beans and Mawkey, making them easier to collect. Added a big sign in Merendón Hills — can you find it? The only remaining visual effect is the dizzy effect in Copán Ruinas, so players with older PCs may still experience some lag in that area. Patch Notes: Hats have been added throughout the entire game. They fall off when taking damage, grabbing onto ledges, or entering water. Some enemies can now be knocked out by jumping on them. The white-to-black transition animation was changed to prevent flashing that may affect visual comfort. The glow intensity of invisible walls in caves and the underwater cave has been reduced. Mawkey’s collision box has been reworked and reduced, making it easier to dodge enemies. Some enemies now drop hats when knocked out, allowing Mawkey to wear them for a short time. Crabs can now be knocked out using the turtle. Improvements made to several Merendón sprites. Mecha Mawkey no longer fails to transform or revert if the player dies multiple times during the fight. The Bean Counter and the Tapir’s health are now fully implemented. Ichiro 94’s ship lives are now displayed correctly, and the miniboss bullet detection in that level has been fixed. The border frame that covers the black edges of the screen no longer disappears when pausing the game. Touch controls have been added for the mobile version; they remain in the codebase for future use. The six NPCs representing the first streamers and players to complete the game have been added: Jess Bits, Leonardo Mejia, Mel, David Fuentes, Trueno, and Kitsega. The order of the final cages has been fixed; Colimbus will now search for them in the correct sequence. If you attempt to evade the pursuer, it will now properly chase you down instead of giving up.…

- Mini Update – Streamlined Achievement Handling - 22 November 2025
This update enhances the internal logic behind the achievement system. Upon completing the final section of the game, the system now automatically checks the status of all available achievements. If any remain locked — whether due to alternate routes, skips, or unexpected progression paths — they are granted immediately to ensure the player’s progress is properly recorded on Steam. Initialisation of the achievement manager has also been refined to prevent loading errors in certain rooms.
