  • Dev Blog 05: From Worshipping the Moon to Creating One - 24 September 2026

Mid-Autumn Festival Is Almost HereFor many people, the Mid-Autumn Festival is a familiar part of the year. On this day, people gather with their families, admire the Moon, and send their best wishes to those who are far away. Over the centuries, the Moon, family reunion, homeland, and longing for distant loved ones have gradually become some of the most enduring associations with the festival.Yet before it became a festival, the Mid-Autumn tradition was, in many ways, an act of looking up at the Moon. Long before humanity possessed modern calendars or astronomical knowledge, the Sun, Moon, stars, and seasonal cycles were closely connected to everyday life. When should crops be planted? When should they be harvested? When would the cold season begin? The sky was one of the most important ways ancient people understood the passage of time and the rhythms of nature. The Moon was particularly…

  • Dev Blog04: Civilization Legacy — The History Behind Our Civilization Fragment - 18 September 2026

When the end of the world comes, what would be worth preserving aboard the Arkship? In our previous Dev Blog, we talked about how we divided the history of human civilization into sixteen distinct eras.EraPeriodCore FeatureDescriptionChaosPrehistoryInstinctive ObservationHumanity’s understanding of the universe was still at an instinctive stage, dating back to early humans.Knotted RecordsAround 30,000 BCE – 3000 BCEPhysical RecordsHumans began consciously using knots, carvings, arranged stones, and other physical objects to record periodic astronomical phenomena.Gods Among the StarsAround 3000 BCE – 4th century BCESacred AstronomyThe movement of celestial bodies became closely connected with mythology and the will of the gods, giving rise to systematic star worship and astrology.Geometric CosmosAround the 4th century BCE – 13th century CEMathematical ModelingHumans began to realize that…

  • Dev Log03: Tracing Humanity’s Journey — The History Before Lexing - 11 September 2026

“Those who gaze into the stars will one day become part of them.—And at the end of the stars, another journey begins.”Prologue · A History of Looking to the StarsBefore writing a fictional epic among the stars, we first turn our eyes toward humanity’s real journey. Here, we do not trace history through the rise and fall of dynasties, nor measure civilization simply by dates and eras. Instead, we follow each transformation in humanity’s understanding of the sky, retracing the path civilization has taken. From instinctively looking upward into the unknown, to measuring the stars with our own hands, listening to spacetime, and finally stepping into the cosmos itself, humanity has spent thousands of years turning the universe from a mystery above our heads into a journey beneath our feet.We have tried to divide the development of human civilization, from its earliest beginnings to the present…

  • Dev Blog02: Building the Tech Tree — The Science Behind Our Energy Branch - 4 September 2026

In our previous dev blog, we started with the H–R diagram and worked our way to the fireball storm, gradually piecing together the sky of Lexing. But the sky is only the stage. What truly gives players something to do beneath that sky is the path under their feet——a journey from the most primitive forms of survival all the way to controlled nuclear fusion. That path is the tech tree. The Smallest Unit of the Tech TreeThe smallest unit of our tech tree is the tech node. Each tech node contains a name, description, category, required materials, unlockable items, unlockable skills, and prerequisite nodes. Why use individual “nodes” instead of a single continuous progression bar?The core narrative of our game is rebuilding civilization. Civilization does not return along a perfectly smooth curve. Instead, it progresses through a series of pivotal moments—from mastering fire and domesticating c…

  • Dev Blog01: Building the Sky of Lexing - 25 August 2026

The Fall — and the BeginningThe story begins with an interstellar fall. While searching for a new home aboard the Arkship, we unexpectedly crash-land in an uncharted region of space. The various devices carrying humanity’s knowledge and technologies are scattered across the wilderness, strewn beneath the light of a binary star. This star system consists of a K-type red giant and a blue-white F-type main-sequence star. In orbit around the system’s eighth planet, the Arkship and its colossal ring-shaped space station, Huntian, separate during the crash. The Ring of Power breaks away and falls toward the surface of the moon, Lexing. The eighth planet is an ice giant orbiting the binary stars. Its atmosphere appears red under the influence of tholin haze. The moon where the Ring of Power comes to rest is the primary setting of our game: Lexing.Lexing is completely tidally locked to its parent…

  • A letter to Home - 24 August 2026

Hello, friends! It’s hard to believe how much time has passed since we last met. Last summer, we released our first trailer with you, and were lucky enough to receive so much support, feedback, and encouragement. For a young team just getting started, that was an incredibly valuable gift. Since then, we’ve been trying new ideas, experimenting with different approaches, and continuously refining and developing new content.Today, we’d like to share some of what we’ve been up to.First, we’ve continued to explore character design and animation, intending to make our characters feel more expressive and more in line with what players have been hoping to see.Second, we’ve been upgrading vegetation and special environmental effects. In certain states of the Planetary Control Module, you can now encounter wild fields of tall grass, tumbleweeds rolling with the wind, enormous thorny tendrils, and…
