- Moving Forward: Demo Temporarily Offline - 18 May 2026
Hello, Operators!Over the past few weeks, we took a major step forward: we released the initial SYNCLIT demo and participated in the festival. Our main goal was to gather first impressions, observe how players interact with the systems, and better understand how the core mechanics feel in practice. From the very beginning, we understood that the project was still at a very early stage of development. Many systems are still evolving, several core features are not fully implemented yet, and the current version doesn’t provide enough narrative context or gameplay clarity to fully represent the direction we want SYNCLIT to evolve toward. A lot of the feedback we received closely matches our own internal roadmap and the exact areas we already planned to improve. Current Development FocusRight now, the team is fully focused on active development, with particular attention on several core areas…
- Feedback, Learnings & What Comes Next - 7 May 2026
Operators,Since releasing the SYNCLIT demo, we’ve received a huge amount of feedback — and we want to say thank you. We’re reading everything: Steam comments, Reddit posts, and Discord messages.Every piece of feedback is being reviewed and taken into account. What’s especially valuable is that many of your observations align closely with our internal plans for the game’s next iterations. This gives us confidence that we’re moving in the right direction.Demo ScopeAt the same time, it’s important to clarify: the current demo represents only a small slice of the full experience. A number of core elements are not yet included or fully implemented, such as:Onboarding and player guidance: Clearer tutorials and in-game hints. The Armory & Gear: A diverse system of weapons and unique abilities to define your playstyle.Enemy Variety: New types of subconscious defenses and varied enemy encounters…
- Deckbuilder’s Fest — Demo is Live NOW - 4 May 2026
Operators,SYNCLIT is now part of Steam Deckbuilder’s Fest, and the demo is live right now. You’re not just running through a level — you’re moving through someone’s mind. Each run begins with a Dossier — a real person reconstructed as a simulation. Your task is to intervene, adapt, and push deeper while the mind resists.SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONSThis demo introduces:Emotion-based deckbuilding: Use cognitive patterns to navigate the subconscious.Memory Rifts: Strategic events that shape your run and alter the simulation.Adaptive Risk System: A mechanics-driven resistance that makes the mind fight back the deeper you go.Operational FeedbackThe simulation reacts. We are currently calibrating the experience, and your feedback is essential.Note: The Investigation Board and final UI are still under development. We are currently focusing on combat and rift stability. Try the demo, experiment with bu…
- Demo Now Available — Enter the Simulation - 30 April 2026
System stabilized. We are opening access to the first public demo of SYNCLIT. You can download and launch the simulation directly from the Steam page right now. What’s inside the system? This is just a small fragment of a much larger story — the first step into a deep investigation. The demo provides an opportunity to learn the basics before you encounter the true scale of the case.Simulation Entry: Dive into a constructed subconscious and begin your investigation.Operational Brief: In the current version, one full run using a single dossier is available. This is sufficient to test operational algorithms in field conditions.Core Mechanics: Build your deck using emotions, cognitive patterns, and memory fragments. Adapt to the system's unstable logic. The Beginning of the Journey: This is an introduction to a massive story. Your task is to start piecing together the puzzle that will unfold…
- Memory, Risk & Progression - 22 April 2026
Operators,We’re continuing to shape how a run in Synclit feels — how you move through the mind, how you interact with it, and how it reacts back.Memory Rifts & Emotion CardsMemory Rifts are becoming a core part of the experience. They now directly affect your run. During these interactions, you can obtain Emotion Cards — Fear, Anger, Joy, Disgust, Sadness, and Surprise. ːsteamhappyːːsteamsadːːsteamboredːːsteamfacepalmːːsteammockingːːsteamhappyːEach choice you make inside a memory changes your deck and defines how you approach combat.Core Run IndicatorsAt the same time, we’re building the run around three key indicators visible on the HUD:Potential reflects how stable your presence is inside the simulation. If it drops too low, the connection collapses.Integrity represents how far you’ve progressed through the mind — reaching 100% brings you to the final phase.Risk defines how strongly th…
- SYNCLIT — Devlog Update: Systems & Flow - 24 March 2026
Hey everyone,We wanted to share a glimpse of what we’ve been working on lately — and where SYNCLIT is heading.Right now, a big part of our focus is on polishing the feel of each run. Movement, readability, and overall flow are being refined so navigating the space feels more natural and intentional. Environments are becoming clearer in how they guide you — without breaking immersion or over-explaining.We’re also adding new interactive elements that make runs more dynamic. The goal is simple: keep each run engaging, while making the experience feel smooth and intuitive at every step.At the same time, we’re tightening the overall flow. Subtle cues and signals are being introduced to guide you forward — so you always feel in control, without the system explicitly telling you what to do. Combat is getting a lot of attention as well. We’re expanding abilities and exploring deck variations ti…
- A New System: Memory Events - 6 March 2026
We’ve added a new system to Synclit: Memory Events. While exploring you may encounter fragments of someone’s past — unresolved memory instances. Instead of simply observing them, you determine how the system processes them. While moving through the simulation, you may hear a phone ringing — that means you’re close to a memory node. Look around for a phone or a similar object. That’s how the system interprets memories in the simulation — as interactive artifacts you can access. By interacting with them, you’ll discover new ways to alter your operational loadout and approach each run more effectively. You can:accept a memory, erase it,rewrite it,or transform it into something… different?. Some memories add emotions to your deck, others remove them — and some let you transform one feeling into another.Every decision changes your deck and shapes the run in a different way. But memories don’t a…
- What Is a Dossier in Synclit? - 27 February 2026
In Synclit, you are an employee. You work for the Synclit Corporation — a company specializing in cognitive optimization and psychological restructuring. Your role is that of an Operator. Your task: enter controlled simulations of Synclit clients and optimize their cognitive alignment. Entering the SimulationEach case begins with a Dossier.A dossier is not just a file — it represents a real person. A life shaped by fear, doubt, admiration, trauma, ambition, and hidden contradictions. As an Operator, you dive into a constructed subconscious landscape built from emotional patterns and memories. Inside the simulation, these fragments become interactive systems — cards, environments, encounters.Your objective is to confront and neutralize what we call Personality Blockers — manifestations of anxiety, destructive impulses, unresolved trauma, and internal conflict. What you see inside the mind…
- Emotions shape your deck - 22 February 2026
In Synclit, emotions aren’t just narrative flavor — they form the foundation of your deck.Inspired by psychologist Paul Ekman’s theory of six basic emotions, every card carries an emotional imprint.Instead of treating them as abstract psychology, Synclit reframes them as functional signals within a hidden cognitive architecture. The system is built around six core emotional signals: Fear, Joy, Anger, Disgust, Sadness, and Surprise. These emotions are directly encoded into punch cards and define how your deck functions. They determine how cards behave in combat, how effects interact, and how your strategy evolves during a run. Some emotions drive aggression. Others reinforce stability, introduce volatility, or reshape your deck in unexpected ways.As you move through the constructed mind, you don’t simply acquire abilities — you recalibrate the emotional forces that shape your strategic app…
- New Screenshots & Development Update - 16 January 2026
We’re actively working on SYNCLIT and wanted to share a small look at our current progress.Alongside ongoing combat system polish, we’re building new interaction nodes throughout the world. These nodes are an important part of the deckbuilding system, allowing players to adjust, upgrade, and shape their decks in preparation for encounters with different enemy archetypes. We’re also expanding the narrative layer — developing conspiracy theories that are meant to be explored, questioned, and gradually pieced together as you move deeper into the world.Today, we’d like to share a new set of screenshots that reflect the game’s current state, its atmosphere, and the direction we’re moving toward. Thank you for following the project — more updates coming soon.— The SYNCLIT Team
