  Helheim has been visually reworked and now appears mostly in greyscale. The player’s immediate surroundings remain visible in color within a 20-meter radius, while Hel herself is always displayed in color.

• What’s new & improved - 27 January 2026

  Refined Two-Handed Axe Handling The axe now clearly communicates that a second hand is required, while preserving natural off-hand freedom. Improved Inventory Interaction Inventory items can be selected using either the index finger or a ray pointer. The inventory has been repositioned further away and slightly enlarged for better readability. Cleaner Inventory Experience Enemies and visual effects are hidden while the inventory is open, allowing better focus and comfort. Teleport Collision Fix Players can no longer teleport into enemies, improving combat clarity and spatial consistency. Optimized VR Input Controller input has been refined across platforms, including Quest and other OpenXR-based headsets.

In the halls of the Night Queen, football, table tennis, and air hockey invite players to mystical leisure. And deep below, in an underground pyramid, a new chamber awaits Einherjar Prime.

  Weapon Swing Effect A new, optional weapon swing effect improves the readability of attacks and provides clearer hit feedback during melee combat. The effect can be enabled or disabled in the settings. Player Height Recalibration Height recalibration has been improved and now works reliably while standing and seated. While crouching, recalibration is intentionally disabled to prevent unintended miscalibration. Optimized Inventory The inventory has been ergonomically refined: – Increased distance from the player – Slightly enlarged item visuals

Objects near the ground can now be targeted and pulled more reliably, complementing the existing crouch-interaction method. • Inventory Item Handling Items taken from the inventory now start with physics disabled to allow precise grabbing, rotating, and placement. Once the item is released in the world, physics automatically re-enables for normal behavior. • Hint Updates Improved and expanded hints related to object interaction and inventory usage for better clarity.

  Update Highlights Guided Start – Added visual cues for object interaction, collection, and usage. Includes hints for inventory, weapons, and environmental actions to help new VR players get started smoothly. Queen of the Night Expansion – A new level: After each boss battle, you have one chance to crown a boss by briefly touching them with your hand. She appears only in select areas. When found, she may fight alongside you — and invite you to her home to dance, relax or enjoy. Improved Night Lamp – Refined beam focus and increased range for a more immersive lighting effect, especially in tunnels and dark passages. Companion Bug Fix – Fixed an issue where companions could disappear after saving inside caves. They now remain correctly present upon reload.
