- И так сойдет: Обзор Risen (2023) - 13 February 2023
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous .
- Risen Patch & Ports live! - 24 January 2023
To celebrate the launch of Risen on modern consoles (PS4, Xbox One and Switch) we also gave this SKU here an update. The game now fully support DirectInput compatible gamepads (either use the launch option to force it or set Controller Mode in the games option menu). We also updated the languages it supports (Polish and Russian are fully integrated) and added Steam Achievements and Rich Presence via Steam and Discord. Along the way we did a few gameplay & technical (related to audio and physics) bugfixes, made it use 64bit and also added options like changing the FOV. Savegames are also compatible with the old SKU and we also added Steam Cloud. Also we have released the soundtrack for purchase here on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1876580/Risen_Soundtrack/ If you encounter issues please report them here: https://redmine.thqnordic.com/projects/risen-community/issues/new Enjoy!

- THQ Nordic acquires... Gothic creator Piranha Bytes - 22 May 2019
THQ Nordic has acquired Gothic creator Piranha Bytes, and with it the IP rights to Gothic, Risen and Elex. The two companies have worked together before - THQ Nordic having been the publisher of Elex (2017), which was a bit ropey but charming nonetheless (a little like Piranha Bytes' other games). On the prospect of Elex 2, the acquisition press release said: "Semi-official comment: Have a guess." As for a new Gothic - presumably Gothic 5? "Nothing to say at this stage." Read more

The pay-what-you-want package now offers subterranean FPS Metro 2033 , fantasy RPG Risen , and brawler Sacred Citadel , on top of Saints Row games and more Risen and Sacred and Dead Island and oh so much. These three extras are given free to everyone who bought the Humble Deep Silver Bundle before they were added, but people who want to get in now will need to beat the average price (only $5.05 as I write this). Hit the Humble Bundle site to buy it. So, to recap, if you pay at least $1 you'll Saints Row 2, Saints Row: The Third, Risen 2: Dark Waters, and Sacred 2 Gold, all for Steam. - Risen 2 release date set for April - 15 March 2012
Pending unscheduled Kraken attacks, the swashbuckling sequel, Risen 2, will hit shores on April 27. The pirate ArrrrPG will have guns, exotic monsters and plenty of sunshine, but there's some serious pedigree behind it. It's made by Piranha Bytes, the chaps behind the Gotchic series (before it was handed off to Spellbound with Arcania: Gothic 4). It's set in a series of archipeligos plagued by sea monsters and bandits, and it looks very shiny indeed. Check out the recent Risen 2 screenshots for a look at Risen 2's lush jungle islands.
- Risen Updated - 9 March 2012
Update to remove 3rd Party DRM solution from game
- Risen 2 trailer talks pirates, inquisitors and faithful gnome servants - 22 December 2011
Did Piranha Bytes decide to set Risen 2 on a series of pirate island so they could turn their studios into a pretend jungle? Possibly. The latest developer diary reveals more about Risen 2's factions and creatures and gives the devs the opportunity to squat in the middle of their cardboard forests like real adventurers. The inquisition return from the first Risen game, and it looks like we'll be choosing to side with them or the island natives over the course of the sequel. The RPG will come out in April. It looks interesting, but will we have tired by Skyrim by then?

- A Fantasy RPG Sails into Pirate-Infested Waters with Risen 2 - 10 August 2011
Deep Silver has a game forthcoming that features islands, water, and people in pirate costumes, and it ain't Dead Island . No, it is Risen 2: Dark Waters , the sequel to a game that was a fantasy RPG. What Deep Silver is doing is listening to its customers. One of the most popular side quests in Risen had players helping the daughter of a pirate named Steelbeard, whose name you hbear in that trailer. So in developing the sequel, the Risen 2 decided to flesh out this continuity a little more, which is why it is now a pirate RPG set in the southern seas. According to a news release, players will be able to "launch parrots at people/creatures to annoy the fuck out of them." There will also be companion NPCs. Everything else, Deep Silver ain't saying, so enjoy that trailer, it's made from actual gameplay.
- E3 2011: Risen 2 is a pirate RPG with a launchable parrot - 9 June 2011
The original Risen found a niche, and the people who played it seemed to really, really like it. But in a landscape already filled with fantasy medieval RPGs, it was easy to miss. Its developers are trying to change that, by making its sequel not a fastasy, medieval RPG. This time, it's about pirates. That means no shields, no bows and arrows, and no fireballs. It does, however, let you become a pirate captain, with your own ship (that, sadly, you can't steer), crew and pistols. And yes, with your own parrot that you can "launch to annoy people," says Daniel Oberlerchner, one of the game's developers. Daniel is also fairly brutal when talking about the first game. He showed a bunch of footage of the game, deliberately setup to convince me that it sucked: it was ugly, it was buggy, it had terrible faces and awful lighting and wasn't designed with widescreen resolutions. At least in these…
